So interest enough I found the dot4 that lotus uses per the manual (pentosin super dot4). Looks like it’s about standard fluid for daily/autocross but looks like a few members have been able to use it on track without upgrading the fluid.

Anyone here track their Emira? If so, did you track the car 100% stock or did you upgrade parts? Particularly interested if you changed out the brake fluid, pads, tires, etc.

Yeah you should always lock your car. Even in good neighborhoods you can get robbed! By the way, as long as the cars are not inside in the car, the Emira will automatically lock its door

Take a look at other polls with a similar poll. I’ve had my Emira for 3 months and Nataly had a few minor issues, but none that stopped me driving. I currently have over 5,700 miles on it and it’s perfect now. My dealer in NJ is only 30 min from me so it works out nicely for me.

Not me. I press it every time I go for a drive as it improves gas mileage.

I agree with this. My mind immediately goes to some sort of software issue that affects the car during the start up process. Fuel cannot be the issue.

How many miles you guys have in yours? Has this been a reoccurring issue since you got the car? I have over 5500 miles and haven’t come across this yet. I usually fill up at BP, 93 octane

Like other commenters suggest check the settings to see if for some reason they reverted back to factory settings. Mine randomly went back to bar (instead of PSI) for the tire pressure lol.

How much water are we talking here? I’ve washed my Emira dozens of time now and when it open the trunk to clean/dry it, there’s only a little water ends up on the engine. Most of it ends up in the channels

Track mode does not turn off ESC. When you enter track mode, in the bottom right corner of the screen you will see an option to turn off ESC completely. By holding the button down for 2 seconds it will turn off ESC completely

What are you considering for mostly street and occasional track use?

Yeah dropping gears is what I meant. Logically it makes sense to blip the throttle but I don’t see too many people talking about it

Lots of good info here. One question on downshifts, I know you blip the throttle when downshifting to match the rpms to the engine speed so it’s less wear on the clutch, but, do you guys blip the throttle when you want to accelerate and pass someone as well?

The milltek controller controls the valves to open and close them. When put into track mode, the car idles louder due to the engine mapping. The milltek doesn’t control the engine idling so I don’t think it’s possible
