At the risk of beating this poor dead horse some more, just read the agreement. All the terms should be spelled out clearly and you should be able to discern whether or not you have a binding contract. After that If you choose to call yourself a customer and not a "potential" customer then...

sigh, ok. I had lots of "customers" in Real Estate give me a deposit but that wasn't a guarantee they were getting the house. Not until a purchase contract was signed by both parties. Maybe I'm just misunderstanding what you are looking for here, sorry.

I think it depends on your definition of "customer". You certainly have at least an informal relationship at this point, something like dating, a relationship but no real committment until you are married..:)

Not at all, especially if this has a light flywheel because clutch engagement should be more sudden. Laguna Beach has lots of steep inclines so the hill start assist will be quite welcome...:)

Exactly! I loved my c6Z06 and it had power well beyond what I could use on the street. As awesome of a car as it was I yearned for that "fun" factor that I got in my very first car, a little 85hp Datsun 510 that would happily drift around corners all day! That's my expectation of the Emira..:)

Pretty much anything that you have to wait for and have time to build your expectations is somewhat of a letdown once you finally get possession of whatever it is. And there is a direct correlation between height of expectation and length of wait. I wish it wasn't so. It would have helped to...

Thanks for that, now I just have to live long enough to see my Emira...:) But then anticipation is a huge part of the experience. It took almost 5 years to have my Pantera built, only to sell it a few years later because it wasn't what I had dreamed it was!

Sorry whippersnapper, not all the "old guys" want automatics. Heck out here in Calif. a manual serves as an anti-theft device because none of the kids know how to row gears.

I dunno, I put 75k hard miles over 12years on my c6z06 and other than choosing to redo the top end to address a potential valve issue the car was awesome and trouble free.

Interesting how he talks about how smooth and high revving the engine is. You hear some of the reviews of the Emira engine and it's a bunch of "ho hum it's and ok engine but..." Did that slight detune make that much difference?
