Apparently pros know exactly where the module is and they disconnect it. They had disabled it by the time I realised it had been taken. The appeal of the immobiliser is that they'd have to try and disable it while it's still on the drive so much riskier.

Nice figures! It looks like the net effect is +40bhp on your base as it shows 360 raising to 400. I guess this is because the underlying map is still locked so it can only work as a delta to that.

This is the text from Lotus on the creaking front suspension problem and fix that I had. I didn't get the symptoms you describe but it does mention a "scraping" noise so it's a possibility.

Yikes, that would have been ugly without the PPF! I'm glad I went for it on mine. A splitter paint repair would have cost a lot more for sure.

I'm interested in both reducing the "grabiness" and the dust. Maybe I'm out of touch with pad prices but it looks like these would come in at nearly £500 for fronts and rears in the UK which seems like a lot to me?

Creaky front suspension which was fixed by adding some rubber cups. One CEL when the battery mysteriously went flat but all good since then.

Mine was solved by the dealer adding some "rubber cups" to the front suspension struts. Apparently there is a Lotus advisory to apply this fix for any reports of creaking from the from suspension.

Some good news here finally. My renewal is down from nearly £1,000 this year to £750 next year. However, I am getting £508 from Santander on Meerkats which is far more plateable and nearly £200 less than the RS3.

I don't recall seeing either of these issues with the early UK i4 deliveries so these seem to be "new" things they've somehow introduced into later builds. I wonder if there's any differences in the US models that could be at play?

The shift from D - N - R is night and day different so you would 100% feel the improvement assuming you had the original issue (early order). I don't think you can see versions on the screens anywhere. Perhaps with an OBD2 reader?

PS4s or PS5s would be at the top of my shopping list. They had amazing grip on my M3 previously. They offer a really good balance between summer and winter useability too. It would interesting to know what made Lotus select the Goodyears.

Totally 🍿 for this! Amazing what you have been able to do with the interface. Already looks streets ahead of the dull OEM offering. I'd also love to know if it can work with Carplay.

That's reflected in the responsiveness. There's virtually no turbo lag. It's noticeably more immediate than my RS3, which is no slouch!

Good shout. I am amazed at the MPGs I get on a long run. Easily pushing 40mpg+. You can comfortably cruise at around 70mph and 1,500rpm in 8th. I never even considered this when choosing but it's a nice bonus.
