So I also have to pay another 2.5k to tax it? All new to me, my other new cars include the first year's tax (well they usually discount it as a line item on collection invoice). will that 2.5k be rolled into the initial finance agreement if I want?

Looks to be the same spec as mine but this is a manual I assume? I’m thinking of picking it up from factory. Once in a life time experience basically, as I’ll never get an ICE from them again. Is it a hard place to reach? Would an Uber from the train station be reasonable?

Maybe. But they are going to try and build that electric car soon, plus the i4's and bases, all under one roof. The output is not big enough to flood the US imo. I would be surprised if they put 500+ cars out to the US over 2 years once the initial run has been done. They have a lot of interest...

"Imminently" to me means the next few days ... to Lotus this could be next month :cautious: Re; Type approval, from your other comment. That seems odd that an external company can issue a new product straight live with no intermediary step. But if that's how it works, then that's how it works...

There will be a delay between the release of the type approval and its showing on websites. Depending on how the site is set up, and the internal process of the business that runs/owns the site. I guess a few days. So we might get prices online Monday (if approval was given this week), which...

Probably like the UK Auto situation, whats the point in building something you can't sell... The cars will be sat for best part of a year in a US shipping yard. Waste of time when they have so many other cars to get through. Personally, I think the real issue is what took them so long to submit...
