I did not have to make any cuts or modifications to the lower cover. I used the unused battery lug on the left, although the power wire to the subwoofer is 16GA i believe, so it does not occupy much space.

It's tough to articulate into words, but I just had to fiddle with it, by way of understanding the attachment points/fixings and getting those to clip back into place. If you haven't already, take a look at where those points are and see if you can work those with more effort to get them to clip...

Curious about the SW update as well. I felt that noise was more of a flap opening then something with the sub, but I'm ignorant to the systems on this car.

My settings are similar to yours on what my ears thought was the best balance. Gain around 25%, crossover set between 50-60hz. I did not put in sound deadening, so I experience similar panel resonance.

No fix, but I'm glad I came across this thread. I was thinking I was crazy, but looks to be something of a common occurence.

Late to the party on this particular post, but curious if you've wrapped the car with this film and how closely does it match when applied? Based on your initial pics, it looks to be a very good match.

Yes, I agree that the OE pads are grabby with weird release characteristics at slow speeds. I changed my pads for the same reason. It seems like the Emira's, atleast in the US, are spec'd with Brembo or AP Racing pads, I don't think they are the DS2500 anymore. Mine came with AP Racing pads...

That's a very good theory, very plausible. I don't think I've ever seen hoses burst in that manner organically, but my sample size is small. Usually it's a small split by outside radiuses or where there's trauma from clamps, chaffing, etc.

I would suspect a material defect in the hose. That's an abnormal failure considering cooling systems don't operate with very high pressures, typically 16-21 PSI at most. More so when you did not encounter any other cooling related issues until the hose burst. It is just a reinforced rubber...

Would anyone happen to have the wiring colors for the tweeter signals +/-? I see referenced: Drivers side - signal wires are Blue/white stripe and purple, unsure of polarity. Passenger side - signal wires are yellow/white stripe and purple/green stripe, unsure of polarity.

I unplugged the OEM subwoofer as the woofer basket would rattle at anything beyond mid volume or higher. Plus it didn't sound like it contributed to the system after the kicker sub install to my ears. I will be removing it once I finalize the system.

Yea, I was really trying to avoid running the power all the way to the battery if at all possible. So I was studying the fuse box locations and seeing if they had battery powered lugs like that and miraculously there was. Even unused to boot. I mean it's no biggie to share that with the battery...
