Lotus Emira V6 ECU Tune - Bench Flash

Do you offer an option for us to have open access to the tables for the end user to make changes? Personally, I only want access to the ECU and write back to the tables, I do not want OTS maps.

Emira ECU Flash Tuning is Now Possible (~510HP Turbo)

Very cool to see this being done and thank you for sharing the details. Selfishly, I'm very disappointed to hear that they are not developing a similar process for the V6. While the Chinese mkt may be limited, I'm confident there is a significant market for the US and Europe looking for a v6...

    Emira track impressions

Very unfortunate to hear you've experience steering/hydro issues. It would be very helpful to hear what's the cause/result of your failure when you get it back. Hopefully it's something quick and easy and you can be back on the track soon.

    Changing the Emira's Weight Distribution

That's very fair. I don't think I should have used the word "ideal strategy." I'm with you on that as it certainly has its disadvantages and it isn't something to strictly strive for. I havent had enough time in the Emira on track to have trending data to compare and it's HOT AF on TX right...

    Changing the Emira's Weight Distribution

While I agree with the points you are making and especially the point about addressing chassis behavior via driver input first, I have to respectfully disagree with the statement that whatever you do/drive/where you drive it doesn't favor one axle over the other. My racecar is an S2000 that is...

    Changing the Emira's Weight Distribution

That's weight transfer, normal vehicle dynamics - physics. Overimplication - as you accelerate, you transfer the weight/load to the rear. As you lift, you transfer weight/load to the front. Static weight distribution influences the magnitude of change, but does not dictate the effect.

For Sale: JUBU Performance ECU for Lotus Emira (440 Power Upgrade)

Yea, that's the part that I find the most difficult to understand and the most confidence zapping. Such large deltas in people's experiences. In any case, I hope those that had bad experiences can reach out to JUBU and get support or have them make it right. As for @sbproducer, if you've...

    Changing the Emira's Weight Distribution

Static weight distribution is only one factor. While it does contribute to chassis handling and balance it does not dictate it. My suggestion is drive the car at pace and assess what it is about the chassis handling or balance you don't like. Does it understeer or oversteer? At what phase of...

For Sale: JUBU Performance ECU for Lotus Emira (440 Power Upgrade)

100% the issue is both poor tuning, poor CAN understanding/programming, and highly likely, poor understanding of the HW/SW and its capabilities. Such significant deltas in people's outcomes cannot provide confidence. One recount from the op that we should focus on, is that the OP had team JUBU...

I agree with you. If you are happy with the differences you felt, then that is a huge win. Coolant additives to decrease engine temperatures

In terms of the dash temp reading, it's a dummy gauge. It'll only show 200F until it hits the next temperature node (which is likely when it is overheating), but it seems like it is reading slightly higher when UNDER 200F. It was showing 194F when OBD was showing 188F When my OBD is reading...

Coolant additives to decrease engine temperatures

Would you detail how you're getting limp mode? I'm curious to understand what's causing your issues. I track my v6 Emira frequently in Texas where the ambient temps have been 98-105F, doing min 10 hot laps at my local track (MSR Houston) with no heat issues. The only things I'm doing is...

Easy to validate, just hop on a dyno and collect data. Map 0 through Map 2 and what will be will be. Based on what's posted so far, independent dyno testing has shown a max net gain of ~60whp and median around ~40whp from everyone else. If anyone else has dyno'ed a net gain that's more (aside...

Emira JB4 Tuning Now Available for I4 & V6 Cars!

That's a question for Burger. I surmise their answer will be, there are too many variables to determine the exact causes, etc. Based on the independent testing posted up on the forum, I don't believe I've seen anyone with the claimed 95whp gain on 93 pump yet, aside from Burger's test car. I...

    Door dings?

Since our doors are fiberglass, they won't ding in the traditional sense, but if the impact has enough force, it may crack or puncture the fiberglass. Naturally the conditions in which this happens, likely wouldn't with a standard shopping cart or another car door scenario.

Removing factory seat and installing Tillet B10-tips and tricks

35min to 1hr drives. Longest drive so far has been 2 hour and 15 mins straight . No discomfort at all. It was actually the OE seat that had my lower back achy after 35 mins. It's gotta be an anatomical situation, so everyone's going to be different.

I figure I should provide an a long term update. I've had the seat now for 1,400 miles of commuting. So far my initial impressions remain with no additional issues. Still comfortable and very happy with them. I've done 45 laps at my local track on them and there's just no way I can go back to...

Door replaced - car now in limp mode!

I would unplug the Miltek, return to stock, clear the code and see if limp mode goes away. If it does, then it's the Miltek VC that failed. Based on my experience, they appear to be "fragile".

    📓 Journals Adding Lightness

Same no issues here and I track in Texas, so the ambient temps were 95F+. When I come back to the pits, I'll open up the hatch and let the car idle for about 5mins before I shut it down. I've never experienced a limp mode from heat with this practice. Never had cooling issues on track either.

You should investigate deeper. A lot of us have encouraged the folks that had negative experiences to speak out and spare others, but that's all we can do. Everything else we say will only be anecdotal. Just caveat emptor.
