Can someone, especially those with a shop manual, tell me how the shifter knob comes off? Is it threaded and twists off? Does it have a set screw that holds it on? I appreciate any help that you guys can provide. Thanks.

After a 3.5 year wait, it's finally here. Time for a full ppf. Then, unfortunately straight in to storage for 3 months until spring.

I just went thru this exact same thing in Ontario. Except in was quoted $3200.

Mine was about 3 weeks from Port to being ready at the dealer.

I learned just how high it is today when I called to put insurance on. Ouch! $3200 annually. But, like you, it's only on the road for 6 months.

So excited to get the call that my car is here and ready for pick up. 😁 I'll get it next week, and straight off to ppf. Then home and straight into storage. 😢

You know the dealer gouges ya for the extras. This one is a quick disconnect. Great for car shows and meets. The GRP one is fixed.

The estimated ETA of the second boat was for 12/19. I don't know if they ship US and Canadian cars on different boats. But I am in Canada and talking about Canadian deliveries.

Same here. Was told it's on the way. But the Canadian manifest of 19 cars landing on 12/15 dosn't show my vin/sequence number. EDIT... was told my car is on the 12/19 boat. It's getting close. Not to mention it's 2 months ahead of schedule. 😁

Update from Lotus (this morning) to XYZ dealership... Carb Approval will finalize Dec or beginning Jan... I4's will start arriving at dealer within days of the approval. The 10 cars in the US are in lockup... Used for a showing recently but put back in lockup pending Carb.

I so badly wanted Lotus to make a spyder. I continue to wonder if I'll be happy in a coupe. If not, I may end up in an Mclaren Artura.
