Correct. It will slide in the Alcantara tray without the magnetic ring.

The charger I use comes with a magnetic ring you’d have to stick to the outside of the case. Even if I make bumpers on the tray the phone can still move forwards or backwards which will cause misalignment and affect charging.

Could be a bad O2 sensor or harness. They use voltage to measure mixture. Low voltage is interpreted as a lean condition. It could also be a vacuum leak, injectors or fuel pressure, but we already know our O2 sensors are finicky so I’d lean towards that.

I’m pretty sure the Fold will fit in the S23/24 Ultra tray. Is your case magnetic?
