The glove box switch should be one of two things, the botton that opens the glovebox which opens electrically or the switch that disables the passenger side airbag (unfortunately, US models don't have that option). I'm guessing it actually refers to the opening button for the glove box. Sorry...

This may be a long shot, but if the loosened screw/metal clip trapped in-between the liner and the roof is ferromagnetic, perhaps you can try move it with a magnet to a spot where it would no longer rattle, or to an edge section of the liner where you can extract it with minimal liner lifting...

Make sure you push straight down "inward" on that spring. It took me a few tries as well as initially I thought I was supposed to pull left or right on the spring. Ultimately, it released fairly easily when I pressed inward.
