Since the Emira is a modern car with traction control and stability control, you probably won't even notice the difference. But go out in the rain in a big parking lot and turn those aids off, and you'll quickly see how much fun RWD is!

I’m also in Cincinnati. I initially had my deposit at MAG, they seemed fine. But when Lotus was touring the Emira prototype to dealers around the US last fall, I asked MAG if they would have the car, and they said no. I assume that’s because Lotus has never been a big part of their business...

Geely has essentially jacked up the Lotus name and built an entirely new company under it- new car, new factory, new suppliers. Their new brand Polestar has generated rave reviews for design and quality, and I suspect that’s a good indication of what we can expect from the equally-new Lotus.

I’m with you. I’ve had a bunch of Porsches, but have zero interest in a current Cayman, or really any of their other cars. I’m really glad Lotus has emerged from the depths and seems to finally have the financial backing to turn into a real car company.
