To me, it boiled down to this: apart from being about 100 lb. Lighter (add lightness?), the ragtop is a more immersive elemental experience with the top down, not to mention the super cool experience of raising or lowering the top in 2 seconds with one swift motion.

They are kindred. My only wish for the Emira is analog gauges. Call me old school.

I have an ND ragtop and thought I’d surely be replacing it with the Emira, but after yet another pre-sunrise Sunday morning drive through the canyons realized I simply can’t part with it and will keep it. They’re both must-haves (if you have the garage space), and both phenomenal in their own right.

The latter (I’m anticipating a long lead time and not insubstantial cost). The better option may be tinting the door windows - the bigger issue for me is blending.

I like the rear hatch privacy tint but would like the rear quarters in clear. I think it would help outward side view visibility and optically blend better with the side profile of the clear door window glass. I’ve asked my dealer about replacement cost and part availability for these two glass...
