VF Tuner - Upgraded Supercharger Lid

JUBU's cooling components are just different silicon hoses, a different toyota thermostat, and a lightweight water pump pulley (which only benefits at high rpm). If you're looking for better charge cooling you need a better drop in intercooler.

Were paid to fly people out* Remote one on one session tunes to fix things they did wrong in the first place, still didn't fix it, and left the customer out to dry*

Yeah... you're missing a lot. You've put yourself in a microcosm of extremely limited information. No, JUBU is not directly partnered with Lotus. You don't have to break the law to be shady. "I've been a business man for over a decade.." Congrats, so has likely 90% of everyone on this forum...

~3psi more boost at 2.8" https://www.zpegriptec.com/2-80-7-rib-zpe-griptec-2pc-lotus-4-bolt-l3v-black-pulley-only/ Personally I'd get the 10 bolt version that requires a hub as well as you're significantly increasing the spin rate. Lower size than 2.8" requires going through Jokerz (they have...

VF Tuner - Upgraded Supercharger Lid

@Mat / @VF Tuner I think it would be helpful if you can clearly post the 4 dynos as non-phone photos. Were all 4 runs done the same day? AIT and humidity will play a role in these results given the differences in air density. Would be interesting if you can overlap MAP as well. 1 vs 2 (oem...

Lets go down the list of all their engine mods. Aluminum flaps for oil pan: valid, but you can also do Wilheim Raceworks baffles or go for a Moroso Pan. DrySump: not needed unless you're a dedicated RACE car, i'm glad they offer this as no one else does, but there is almost no use case for...

    1) There are TONS running that level, look at the MR2 2GR community. And I'm talking dedicated endurance racecars, not just street cars. Or Hillclimb cars.. 2) The Evora/Emira are run at what they are based on what Toyota and Aisin will warranty their engine and transmissions for, not based on...

Broken Axle? GI in built axles and how common this issue actually is.

$500-1000 used trans $1500 LSD $1000+ for clutch and flywheel $2200 adapter parts and mounts $3600 axles Install hour wise would be the same as labor for a clutch replacement.

Broken Axle? GI in built axles and how common this issue actually is.

So I've done a little more research here for manual owners who want to push power. The VW MQ500 has decent gear ratios, handles 650nm+, will mount up to the 2GR with Engineer Freely's existing VW adapter plate and flywheel adapter and intermediate shaft, can use the same axle setup I have on...

Broken Axle? GI in built axles and how common this issue actually is.

I’m sure CVs are the same, but the half shafts and outer stub hubs will be unique to Emiras. Torque delivery is also different so many other variables to consider. The Emira (at least drivers side) is the same part number as the Evoras so is likely Emiras got a bad metallurgy of heat treatment...

Only seen on V6 so far as I know. (toyota axle)

Broken Axle? GI in built axles and how common this issue actually is.

Has anyone broken an auto (U660E) axle in the Emira? Again I just learned about this being an issue and so far have only heard of a few manuals having it happen.

Broken Axle? GI in built axles and how common this issue actually is.

The Emira shares the axle part number with the Evora (atleast drivers side manual is confirmed) and the Evora hasn’t had these reported issues. I think it’s likely that the axles are bad from the manufacturing process. I.E. not heat treated correctly. If someone can do a hardness test on a...

Broken Axle? GI in built axles and how common this issue actually is.

What I have now is for a dq250 DCT. It would/will require dev work for the intermediate shaft, carrier, and drivers side inner axle stub. I couldn’t give a timeline right now and it would only be possible to be around the $4k price point for a group. Porter has seen my itemized cost for these...

Going beyond 7k RPM: A Thread

TLDR on 2GR limitations and rpm. You can run 7,300 all day long on oem everything. It is recommended to be running valve springs above 7,300. Running 7,800 regularly will break your rods. MWR's rods are up charged Brian Crower rods BC6364 and BC6365. These are the cheapest reliable option on...

Broken Axle? GI in built axles and how common this issue actually is.

Hi guys, I've become aware of breaking axles as a recurring issue with the Emira through the Lotus discord that Porter and KitKat setup. I wanted to get a pulse check on how many people have actually seen this issue happen, and how many people would be interested in custom built axles that...
