I've been thinking about this since yesterday. I think I'll wait for the base V6 sometime in 2023 and enjoy the GT4 next summer. Can you keep your deposit slot even if you wait for the base V6?

Price got out for Canada yesterday and it's slightly disapointing, while most manufacturers sell their cars cheaper in Canada by quite a margin than the corresponding USD to CAD exchanged value, Lotus has decided to actually go more expensive... I'm thinking to hold on to my deposit for a V6...

personally, I've been giving it more thought since the 125k rumor intensifies, before that I was convinced it would never go higher than 115k... As I often like to say: Expect the worst, hope for the best :p

I think the Emira will have it's own charm over the GT4. While the GT4 is a very beautyful car, I think the emira will have the edge. Emira has hydrolic steering, even though the GT4 steering is great, I think there is always something special about hydrolic steering. Emira has exposed engine...

My guess is that the dealer took the price announced in the UK and converted it to CAD, that gives roughly 125k. But I'd be very very surprised if that dealer is right. All euro manufacturers price their cars cheaper in Canada than in USA. Just have a look at Mercedes, VW, Audi, Porsche, BMW...

Oh, for me no doubt, V6 manual. Sound and engagement can't be replaced. I'd get an auto for a daily driver, but I like my week end cars manual.

Even if it's not as fast, if it's as much fun, it's a win. I'm also having issues with the stock GT4 exhaust at local sound restricted tracks, that's a bummer.

The GT4 is a stunning car, even after 3 years I'm amazed everytime I wash it. But I suspect the Emira is going to stand out even more. Debating Seneca Blue or Magma Red since a few weeks. hopefully i'll be able to see a paint sample of the Magma Red color.
