On the car battery, are you disconnecting the nut(s) with a standard plastic wrench? When the nut nears the pointing of being totally unscrewed, can you finish unscrewing with your fingers? Super basic, I know, but I don’t want to electrocute myself. 😆

May 2024 build here. I can confirm my rear tire area also has this rock collector hole as seen in the OP's image below.

There was a rumor that sometime around May 2023 new doors were supplied that had a water drain at the bottom, and a white resin coating inside meant to prevent this issue. No clue if this is just hearsay or reality, but hope someone can confirm at some point.

Get the Emira, if you love the car, but hate the color, wrap it in a different color!

I’ve got a dog too - it’s a zoo over here. My concern with the car cover is that some say it scratches the paint. And the OEM one from Lotus is nearly $700. Would be ironic to pay that much for something to prevent scratches that actually creates scratches.

Evora is a great car, but only sold 6,100 units over an 11 year period. The Emira has sold nearly that many units in ~2 years. Based on that alone, I’m not sure most people would agree with your statement.

Nice review, the Emira held its own subjectively (not so much quantifiably with lap / drag times) and can be had for a significant savings. The vette design is just not aging well to me, and that's enough for me to not get one despite the amazing performance.
