Mud flaps and Lotus fitted protected film

Agree with that - technology and techniques and methods evolve all the time. I am not sure how long Liquid PPF has been in use, but it suited my needs, especially since both cars were finished in shades of white. Although I haven't had the need to just yet, I am told that removal is simply a...

Mud flaps and Lotus fitted protected film

Yes, you could. Cannot comment on differences in price as I have only gone for the clear treatment, which, so far has held up very well, but would be good to see how it holds up close to the 5-year mark, which is when the warranty expires.

Mud flaps and Lotus fitted protected film

The benefit of Liquid PPF is that the layer is completely invincible and there is no yellowing with age since the film goes over edges and around corners. Ceramic coating on top using a suitable product such as Gtechnique HALO will further enhance its protection and makes cleaning very easy...

Mud flaps and Lotus fitted protected film

Liquid PPF can be peeled off leaving the paint underneath untouched, and if the PPF is ceramic coated, which is recommended, cleaning becomes a breeze. If both the ceramic coating and PPF layer are damaged then that whole panel/part needs to be stripped and retreated. Here are photos of the GR...

Hethel Yellow Lotus Emira Photo Thread

Looks fantastic. (y) Certainly helps to see how others have configured their cars. I too have gone for red brake calipers, but am likely to go for the Alcantara interior with red stitching, and silver wheels. Had a good chat with the Head of Sales (Europe), and raised the point about the...

Mud flaps and Lotus fitted protected film

I have had the GR Yaris put through LogicVPC's Liquid PPF treatment and the results are quite impressive. So far, it has worked out well. The treatment carries a 5-year warranty, and, more importantly, there are no gaps or seams since the PPF is sprayed on. However, since some of the body...

Hethel Yellow Lotus Emira Photo Thread

Had my first viewing of the (Seneca Blue) Emira today, and what a fantastic looking car it was seeing one for the first time! (y) Very true with regards to the different shades of yellow, as evident by the photograph taken today - the colour sample, brake caliper, and Lotus badge are all...

    Test Drives

On Wednesday (3rd) I was informed that dealers should get their demonstrators around "early April 2022" and that UK deposits were at 2,700. I haven't put a deposit down yet, but, should I do so after the viewing tomorrow (7th), I am looking at a delivery date in 2023. In the meantime, the Exige...

    Side profile comparison

Yet to see the Emira in the flesh (24 hours to go :)), but everything I have seen and read so far points to Lotus getting Emira right. The analysis and critique recorded in the above YouTube video was a good watch. I agree with some of the changes but not all. The changes to the rear are more...

Couldn't agree more, but others' reactions to what I drive is the least of my worries. Nevertheless, it has been a very pleasant experience so far and I am sure Emira will take it up a notch...

    Emira vs other Exotic Cars

Great thread. Thanks for sharing. Emira's lines do make it look every bit like a super car, which is impressive. Cannot wait to see one in the flesh in a couple of weeks.

    Three Cheers for TomE!

Fantastic! Fully agree with your sentiments. I too am a member of a few car clubs, and, although I signed up with SELOC, Exiges.com, and, now the Emira forum, I am yet to attend a meet/drive or any such gathering. Looks like a good mix of cars. Will make sure I make it to one, but...

    Three Cheers for TomE!

Indeed, I actually got in touch with Jamie when I was looking for my very first Lotus. At the time, my interest was directed towards the Elise Cup 250. Once I got in touch, Jamie even offered to let me take one of their demonstrators home for the weekend so that I could check its ground...

Now that is a thought. My Exige S RGB did come with a black/white nose badge as standard, and it does match quite well, especially against the car's (Aspen) White body colour.

    Three Cheers for TomE!

A bit late to the party, but hats off to you, TomE, for sharing the info that you do about the Emira. As a newish Lotus owner, that is really uplifting. The info posted here allowed me to navigate through the various unknowns, both known and unknown, so thank you. Jamie Matthews from...

    Phone call from lotus

I am yet to place a deposit as I have been waiting for more info - I only held back as I was told that more details will be released by September, but clearly, that hasn't happened. However, I aim to put a deposit down for a V6 FE Manual, but have some questions: 1. If I place a deposit over...

Sports Car Shootout: Lotus Emira Vs. Porsche Cayman GT4

Good comparison. (y) As a long-term Porsche enthusiast (old school 911s), after falling out of love with the increase in size, proportions, and weight of their newer creations, after a 5-year break, I was looking to get back into Porsche, the only model that drew my attention was the 981 GT4...

    Whichcar article

Good article. (y) As someone who is not up to speed with developments at Mercedes, it was interesting to read that the AMG M139 will not be Euro 7 compliant. Off-topic but, if Euro 7 regulations dictate that exhaust noise is to be muted to the extent seen/heard at the launch of the new...

The official Lotus Emira Deposit thread

Certainly, a colour combo I like - having already owned 5 cars finished in yellow (of varying shades and finishes), it is a colour I gravitate towards, so, it was only natural to spec the Emira in Hethel Yellow! (y)

Current Lotus Owners on the Forum?

Just joined up as I am seriously considering putting a deposit down on an Emira (V6 manual). Do have a 2010 Exige S RGB and a couple of other fun cars that will stay. Would be interesting to compare the RGB (weighing in at 935kg with 260hp) with the 1,400+kg Emira with 416hp.
