Yes, me too. I have been told many things by Lotus that have not happened. I even said that to them. I was thinking the same about the amount of people being told November build December delivery. As you say, with the Christmas shutdown. Also, if they put as much effort into building and delivering the cars as making videos about them, we would all have had a great summer with our cars.

@TomE I have been told that Rybrook Lotus Birmingham have been notified that their demo car will be delivered this week. Test drive coming up, hopefully 🙏 🤞

I did ask CC where for instance the ceramic paint protection will be applied. They said Hethel. So that would mean cars with that option can't go...

Yes Leonard, I did ask CC why they didn't call me if there was a problem, for whatever reason, with my car spec, and say what issues there are and offer me alternatives. They couldn't give me an answer.

Yes, as you say, this system is in place within many companies, and it would work here. The only problem here is that would mean Lotus becoming efficient and with great communication skills. In my view, that will never happen, not in a million years.

I have been thinking just the same. With the technology these days we should be able to see it in real time. That would mean US LOT not having the 'joy' of calling CC for updates, and the poor pigeons could go of to the old pigeon home for a well earned retirement. Everyone's a winner 🏆

One thing is certain, at least CC are consistent in giving out misleading information.

I had a chat with CC on Friday, as many of us did. I asked about where the protective coating, which is an option, will be applied. They said at Hethel. So if this is the case, and I have not been given misleading information like many times before, then that means they cant leave Hethel till...

Yes, in some ways all the delays are getting somewhat annoying. But as with you, even if I got my car tomorrow, it will be in hibernation in the garage till March/April. For reference, my first deposit was 5th October 2019, so it has been a bit of a wait.

I do think its a bit harsh to be limited to the 3 dates. Surely, after all the delays, they could be a bit more accommodating.

Yes, it all seems to depend on if a rich or high profile person puts an order in in the meantime. As they will take priority. That is when we get pushed back. I say this as these people have put deposits down way after many on this forum, are now seeing their cars in production.

Yes, it is only famous or high profile people getting cars at the moment, in sharp contrast to US LOT enthusiasts, early deposit holders, who keep getting put back/delayed to make way for said people.

Yes, from my point of view, it seems that a deposit on the 5th October 2019 means nothing to Lotus as with your early deposit. They are clearly not building and delivering in deposit order. I for one am getting more than a bit annoyed about the whole thing. And this from a long term enthusiast...

Yes Leonard, i got the same call yesterday. Whether we will actually get a December delivery remains to be seen, as in their words, subject to change.

I had booked a trackday for next week at Oulton Park, my favourite track, when I was originally told definite June delivery.
