That's the worry! I dont believe that you can blend the paint on a car that has 60% coverage. I am going to stand firm to have the whole car re-sprayed and rear panel replaced. If they don't want to give me my money back I think it's a fair compromise. Or am I deluded???

There has to be an element of positive progress with any repair. Giving into the cheapest budget solution from the warranty team Surely sand and paint is PAPERING OVER THE CRACKS!

The killer question is..... What is the suitable way to resolve the matter in your opinion? I dont think a sand down and re spray cuts it. I really don't want a car that 60% of it has been a blend job

I think this is a fantastic question.... My car was build October 2022. I think it takes about 12 months for blistering to come through.

I am from the UK. To get the door approved was an absolute pain. Now I have another battle on my hands! I genuinely cba to keep fighting everytime to make Lotus HQ do things properly. They need to probably change all the panels and re paint the whole thing at factory at this rate

Agreed! I have done nearly 4k miles and it has never given me an issue irrespective of fuel that I have used.

EXCELLENT NEWS TODAY!!! LOTUS HQ APPROVED SILVERSTONES WARRANTY CLAIM! 😀 My paint blistering drivers door will be replaced and sorted in January. The learning from my experience is being persistent and standing your ground!!!!!

Thanks for the info. Silverstone does not. I cannot be expected to take my car 100 miles away to Bell and colville just because they have a body shop. I am awaiting a phone call in 3 days. I just appreciate having to chase this matter every step of the way. Honestly if I had left them to it...
