That seems strange given the CARB approval is done and folks have stated they saw NA spec cars built at the factory. What would the issue be that causes a delay?

Has anyone with a V6 auto received a VIN confirmation yet? I keep reading that they’re built and shipping is going great but nothing but Manual FE’s so far….

Also, the obvious……Lotus manufacturing was different with the Evora and they could only make so many. You can’t sell what you couldn’t make.

My communication from Lotus said Production in September with delivery in November/December.

Read in the other posts that the gauze could potentially help keep moisture out of the intake/MAP. That seems reasonable.

I’m curious what your dealer will say about the intake modifications. Seems to be a crap shoot one to the next with some flat out voiding the power train warranty and noting the vehicle file as such even if the OEM is ever put back on. Same for cat delete pipe. People can say Magnuson-Moss all...

How do you remove the gauze? It appears to be part of the air filter. Do you need to just replace the entire filter? Does Lotus require the use of only their bespoke air filters for this reason?

I first read this as your car was covered in mud but then how would leaves get inside…..I guess you mean the lot was dirty. Sounds like your dealer is a bit disorganized. Maybe go to a different one for warranty and other services. I’d still get the car but would call out their lack of customer...

From what I understand, the last allocations for V6 auto were submitted to the factory in May. The orphan market will likely have some in the coming months. There haven’t been any deliveries yet.

It will void your Lotus Powertrain Warranty as well. Consider that bullet dodged.

I wish I could. The ceiling height in my garage is about 1 foot too low. The thought of busting a car shaped hole into my attic is not appealing.

Understood. The valve controller is what one should be wary about. That can have a negative impact on the powertrain because it has a manual selection system that can put the valves closed when they shouldn’t be.

I do not. If I understand, your issue is you receive warm air through the vent when the AC is off and “vent” is selected. Seems likely the air intake is under the bonnet where it’s already hot as hell. I would just select AC at a low temperature and uncheck recirculate. That will bring fresh...

That sucks but I think this thread is about the heat coming from the radiator into the window when rolled down. Your issue has a TSB for water intrusion.

Why wait for warranty for the engine cover and 3rd cat? The engine cover doesn’t affect anything and the 3rd cat is just an emissions device. I wouldn’t remove during break in but after that who would care?

As far as I know, the dealer does have a part to play in activation.

They make ~25 a day give or take and that’s 4 days a week. Figure 400 a month. The Hethel facility is making V6 auto and manual. I believe the other facility is making the i4. The most reasonable estimate from deposit now to build is ~18 months. So yes you have been in line for a bit but missing...

HY automatic? All the shipments so far have been FE manual. The demo cars were Euro spec.

But there is an automatic V6 heading in…..that’s good news.

I don’t understand…..why does the hot radiator air mix with the cool air flowing into the side intakes? I would think this air flow is counter indicated as cold air is best for the engine. Wondering what clever solution Lotus had for the Emira.

Do let us know if any have the “2” for the automatic. They have to be coming rightly.
