Instant weight loss and no strict diet with Tillett Seats!

I have fitted the GRP resistor plugs. https://www.gregsraceparts.com/collections/latest-products/products/grp-emira-seat-bypass-kits?variant=47395548528873 The car is currently in Bell & Covill having some other work done and I have asked them to clear the air bag fault light down, then we...

You set them the height you want. They can sit low but the brackets allow adjustment in height. Also seats like the B5, B8 and B9 have straight backs so this raises the head more than a B10, B6 or B7.

Ahh! but you haven't tried mine yet. Don't judge a seat by it's cover. :)

Lots of water in the car door

This was mine. https://www.dropbox.com/s/reknzo9ske74wtk/2023-03-14%2014.05.53.mov?dl=0 And I did get the blistering about a year later. But I cannot see how the water got through the laminate. Boats sit in water for years before the surface resin breaks down and the water travels up the...

Lots of water in the car door

My original doors did that. I always parked uphill on a slope and they would fill up until opened them. I used to park it facing downhill after. Another problem caused by developing a car in Norfolk where it's flat. Like the one where the seat belts would not come out on a downhill slope. I...

Best Lotus Model For Track Day Use

I have got an Elise as my other car. I don't use it often but even without the ultimate power of other cars there are few cars like it for making you laugh out loud. It's such great fun. If you drive a car because you want to impress others buy a Porsche, If you want a car to impress yourself...

Removing factory seat and installing Tillet B10-tips and tricks

Great to read your well written information Alan. It's great to see the feedback. We recently started shipping the seats with a new longer 35mm 14.9 high strength M8 bolt, which should be long enough for the spacers required on a standard B10, but you have got me worried now. I will check...

Let's talk about the Emira's seats...

Opps! I got the date wrong. I nearly turned up a month early to get the car fixed.

Let's talk about the Emira's seats...

The car goes in tomorrow so the reset will show if Greg’s resistor plugs clear the codes in the UK spec vehicles.

No sorry, not at the moment. I would suspect most will keep them just in case the next owner is four foot tall.

Seating Position - How do you find it?!?

The factory is open Monday to Friday but If you are ever in Kent I will always be happy to meet you and let you sit in my car.

Seating Position - How do you find it?!?

I can't help with the OEM seats. To me they are wrong and short of a huge amount of surgery, nothing is going to work. The lower back is wallowing in a load of soft foam and it's allowing the vertebrae to move independently. I can help if you would consider using our seats. Some people look at...

    📓 Journals Adding Lightness

One thing to consider is that a hex bolt still comes off easily when it gets worn down. So if you do a Dukes of Hazard over a speed bump, you'll have problems getting button heads off.

I am nearly always around, so when convenient contact me and I am more than happy to arrange for you to come and sit in my car. I live at the point where the M20 and M26 meet. stevetillett@tillett.co.uk

It should be easy to do. We stick the logos to the seats all the time.

I was told that it’s come into stock. I know samples were sent to customers of a red that was close. I will find out what the score is tomorrow.

I left it on the seat. I just unplugged these two plugs and the small seat belt receptor connector under the side of the cushion cover.

    Lightweight seats

With the warning lights I have some plugs from Gregs Race Parts. I need to get to the dealer and have the car reset but hopefully they will work. That being said I've been driving around for a year with them on. They are not that intrusive and I don't see them anymore but it would be nice if...

    Lightweight seats

We have made them for our seats. I would think it would be easy enough with the Emira seat as the runners are flat based. Hole centres 420mm by 405 mm wide. I just wrapped mine up and stored them on a shelf, should the car ever be sold to a twenty stone man, or a four foot tall lady.

That was Gregory Clarks design for how he wanted his seats. I think I put him off when I said we couldn't sell a seat with just Lotus on it and he was adamant that he wanted only the Lotus logo. We have to be wary of branding products as if they are original equipment. I don't want to upset any...

    Seats too high

The OEM seats gave me a bad lower back on the first journey back from Lotus. Since putting the B10XL's in I've driven six hours and never had the slightest problem. If the individual vertebrae do not move independently and don't have pressure points, they don't hurt.

    Do not break your mirror!

I fully understand Lotus's desire to minimise their stock levels re number of parts, so only legislation where customers have the right to the spare would save the waste. Things like this mirror situation make the governments push to "go green" seem more ridiculous by the minute. So much more...

    Seats too high

Understandable, Our greatest challenge often feels like finding ways of giving the people the opportunity to sit in them. We do the PRi show every year and display the seats there. Titan sell our seats in Florida but tend to specialise in the B1/B8/B9 shape which has a straighter back for cars...

    Seats too high

I'm sure they would but it's really not that hard to do yourself. Probably the hardest part is unclipping the seat plugs by pushing in a little screwdriver and not doing your back in lifting out the OEM seats. The resistor plugs can be bought from GRP...

    Seats too high

There does not seem to be a warranty issue when you take the seats out. I’ve had plenty of warranty work since fitting them and the only comment from Bell and Covill is that they wanted to stock them. I’m 100% certain that if you were to sit in the car with the B10XL’s in, you would never want...

Yes blank is fine. We are doing two red sets at the moment. So we are sending out leather samples to make sure they are a suitable match. Although we had permission to buy the leather, when we asked all they had in stock was the tan. Lotus are not ordering it at the moment.

The resistors I was advised to use didn't work but I have since received some plugs from Greg's Race Parts. I have fitted them so when my car goes into the dealer, I will get them to reset things and see if it's gone. Given the choice of a notification on the dash and putting those spongy...

You can still get the bespoke designer bags in. I did last weekend. It's just a bit of extra faffing about as you have to pull the driver seat forward and go in through the middle. There is always a way if you are a true Lotus enthusiast.:)

    Seats too high

We do not have a recliner and most of you would have sold the car before we have that one developed. I have not really seen a need for our seats to recline as such, because you either buy a seat like the B10 which aids a reclined position, or a B8/B9 with a straight more standard upright lower...
