Just curious, does exhaust mod bring any risks of voiding the warranty?

Sounds like an alternator issue to me. My BSG on the RS6 broke last year. The car can be jump started but will not run for long. I had dead batteries before. As long as the alternator is working the car can run just fine. Seems to have the same symptoms as the BSG failure.

Just found the window seal on the passenger door is slightly deformed. Seems like it was crushed by the window. Driver side is normal. Haven't tested if this leaks water or not. Does anyone else see this?

I think there are already many aftermarket control arm options in the Chinese market. Just not available in the US yet.

Coming from a GR Supra MT, which is probably the easiest manual car to drive, I stalled the Emira on the day of pickup lol. The clutch is a bit tricky and it feels like the engine doesn't have much low-end torque to easily start the car. But now I'm fine with it after a couple hundreds of miles.

I have CCBs on my RS6 and really loved them. Brakes are strong and dust free. And they last a really long time (both rotors and pads). I've done over 30000 miles of normal driving, and the pads are still at 10 mms. I think it will have cheaper running cost than steel brakes if you don't track it.

The manual - I have driven several manual sports cars like EvoX, Supra, 86, M2, Civic Type R. I don't have any problems with the shifter in Emira. It feels just right with the very mechanical feedback. I don't understand what some of the review is complaining about. The Power - I haven't...

Have been busy with family and stuff so cannot commit to a meet yet. But we will see if I get a chance.

I kind of regretted having the cup2s since I don't go to the track very often and those tires are very sticky. But the sport suspension feels just right. It's not harsh in any means and where I live has pretty crappy road surfaces.

If you are worried about not being level, you can put all 4 wheels on ramps or use jack stands.

So the technician did the road test again and confirmed the noise is coming from the shifter. My dealer has sent emails to Lotus tech department for further directions but hasn't heard back yet. It seems this is the first time they work on this issue.

Question: only 4 jack points underneath. How do you put them on the jack stands? Did you jack the car on the side?

I pulled the fuse on my Supra to have the exhaust valve always open. It worked great and didn't trigger any warning lights. Wondering if the same can be done to the Emira. But I haven't seen anyone done that yet.

My local dealer also services Aston Martin and they do offer loaners, thou it's just a Nissan Leaf. But they usually only offer a loaner when the car is required to stay for an extended period of time

I found it changing as well. It was present in every gear but now it is much quieter in 3rd and 4th gear. 5th and 6th gear 2-3k rpm are the worst.

Update: dropped my car off again for the fix. Somehow the technician found the noise was coming from the dash. He did try to insulate the where the noise is coming from but it did not completely take care of it. They are also working with Lotus on this problem. But the noise would go away...

My wife helped with painting the markings. I used heat gun the expedite the drying and curing process. 2 coatings of white and 1 coating of blue. Pretty happy with the looks.

As I heard from other Emira owners, the cars all have more or less some minor issues like rattle noises, electronics. The most severe problem is something wrong with the radiator fan connector causing overheating.

Yeah the ramps can work, but I heard it's more difficult.

Doesn't feel like the same. I haven't experienced cold start stall if I start in neutral.

I have a feeling that a decent service isn't something my dealer can offer. Not responsive, not responsible, very bad communication.

I think Meridian Blue might be the rarest color. I haven't seen one even at the dealership and service center.

@CK99 It seems my dealer doesn't want to deal with this issue. I test drove with a technician and confirmed this noise. But they are still saying they cannot duplicate this noise. :rolleyes: @Bimmernate Let me know if had any luck with you dealer.
