Yeah that photo was taken right after the rock hit. I haven't taken a photo after the repair yet. The reason why I didn't do the film is even if the film can protect the windshield, the film itself will get damaged. Then I gotta replace the film and it's not cheaper than replacing the glass.

You can also buy the badge from GRP Lotus Nose Badge for Emira. Not sure if it would be cheaper than the dealer thou.

I thought about protection film for the windshield but didn't do it. The film costs $500 and my insurance also has full glass coverage. A rock just hit me on the highway 2 weeks ago and left a chip. I had it repaired by a glass shop for $80. It was much less visible but it's still there.

Almost 1000 miles in and I had the same clunking noise recently. Happens at low-speed full turn, but not 100% of the time. After browsing through the forum, it doesn't seem like there is a clear fix for this issue. I will schedule an appointment with my dealer to have it looked at.

It seems the general consensus is that 12 mm spacer would be the best option since it's hub centric. Going anything below that would have risks of vibration. But it will also stick out a little bit if not lowered.

I've had leather steering wheels on all my previous cars, so I went with alcantara. I tried alcantara steering wheels from Porches and they felt really good. The alcantara from Lotus didn't disappoint me either. It's more grippy and more special.

I just had my Witamats installed yesterday. The total wait time was about 4 weeks. I used some double-sided tape to secure the floor mat in place. Rug Grip sounds like a better idea. Fitment is pretty good overall, but I think using clips to secure the edges would be cleaner (just like Tuxmat)...

Winters in PNW are not too bad - lots of rain but not much snow and ice. I drove my GR Supra through the winter and plan to do so with the Emira as well. But it will definitely be driven less than usual.

I averaged 16.6 mpg from the 780 miles driven based on the trip computer. Most of the miles are local and mountain roads. Slightly worse than my 2.2 ton 4.0T twinturbo RS6;)

Same here lol. 10 mm drop looks good enough to me. So sad the trick doesn't work on V6 models

Saw the Emira chassis in a video. The bonded aluminum chassis are designed for roadsters and the roof doesn't serve any structural purposes. This makes the Emira roadster much more likely, but I don't think Lotus would ever make that.

It would be appealing if it's true but I doubt it.

Emira already has pretty good aero from factory. It has 55kg downforce at 200km/h while 718 Cayman has 42kg of lift.

I did 15% tint on the side windows to match the privacy glass and 50% tint on the windshield. I liked how it looks but the front windshield tint does reflect the dash under the sun, giving it a hazy view front.

$650 for the Alcantara headliner is not bad at all. Some manufacturers would charge thousands for that.

Based on the configurator the base V6 is not far off from the FE (driver pack, wheels, stereo, etc). You can configure them to the same spec as the FE. I guess the price won't be far off either.

The parking brake got stuck on my Supra before, so I don't apply parking brake unless at a steep slope. I leave the car in gear to stop it from moving. This is also what the dealership has been doing.

The shop I went to has a standard procedure of rechecking the ppf after 2 weeks. Basically the shop examines the edges and fixes the defects if there's any.

Doesn't seem like there's any easy way to delete the yellow. I know some shops can open up the headlight and remove the yellow piece, but it can also potentially damage the headlight in the process.

Years ago I installed lowering springs myself on my Evo and it didn't go well.. Should be a 2-3 hour job as I followed instructions from forum but it took me a whole day and a half figuring out why everything went south. I'm hesitant to do any extensive DIY jobs on the car ever since. 😅
