Anyone planning on driving their Emira through winter?

Didn’t have any issues with the Goodyears last winter. We don’t get much snow though. If I was driving in snow all the time I’d be on winters rather than all season.

Wondering if you've all had the latest software updates? I had some starting issues etc. and all good since the update.

    More details for KEF Audio

I’m of the opinion that no matter how good the sound system it doesn’t matter if it’s in a car as loud as the Emira. With a better system you could turn up the volume and get good sound but also long term hearing loss.

Air con known issue -no fix yet [EDIT: now with official fix]

A lot of people seem to have an issue where the AC either blow full or not at all. In my car the front window blower always blows cold air even when the other vents are blowing hotter air, unless I crank the heat up to max. Anyone else experiencing this or is it normal?

The great big "all the customer test drives" thread

On reflection of your reply, maybe if I had more time with the car I would have got used to manual mode. For me the V6 is gives a great experience at lower speeds because of the sound. The I4 doesn't appeal as much until I start to drive it harder. They are both better and worse in different...

The great big "all the customer test drives" thread

V6 VS I4 Review... I am the owner of a V6 with touring suspension and today got to drive the I4 touring while my car was in for service. Here are my thoughts... V6, is a way more "exotic" experience with the sound adding to this in a massive way. This is the first time I've had a car like...

    Alignment/Suspension/Stability Issue

looks like normal steering feedback to me from then hydraulic rack. Thought that was the whole point of that system over electronic steering.

It's been said before, but definitely let it run in for a while. Mine was terrible when new. Now it's pretty good.

    Intermittent failure to start

Had mine updated around January. My dealer also services Bentley's and said they have the same problem. I was told that you need to wait a minute or so after unlocking before starting. Similar to a previous post here.

KEF Audio Upgrade Parts - Now Available!

Looks like a good job! I did something similar in terms of sound deadening behind the seats, but didn't put anything in the doors because of the amount of cables routed through the inner door inserts. It also looked like the doors were quite well sealed plus had insulation on the door cards...

What's the actual cost of PPF Film? Bulk? Pre-cut?

I tried some precut "German" PPF from a supplier in UK and the quality or type was not good. I tried a skirt and the results were terrible. I orded some of HOHO film from China on ebay and it was night and day difference, both in terms of ease of fitmet, final finish and self healing properties...

Am I an idiot if I skip PPF?

I find the price for PPF install absolutely ridiculous, but would recommend getting the area below the side vents protected as stones fly up from the front tyres to that area. I bought some film myself and was pretty easy job to do if you get the right stuff. Personally I've never had the need...

    ROAD NOISE

That’s not true at all. I had mine apart recently to install more sound insulation only to find it was packed with the stuff already, but this does not mean that there are not still a few places with space to add more. The doors have internal plastic covers which are rubber sealed and then...

    ROAD NOISE

Yes, I find it quite loud, but no more so than other cars in this category e.g cayman. I’ve put some foam insulation on mine around the rear bulkhead and behind seats but have not had a chance to test it out yet. After taking off some panels to do this, including door cards, the standard car...

    More details for KEF Audio

My system is improving more each time I drive. I’m at nearly 2000 miles and it’s starting to sound good. If any new owners are disappointed with the audio, definitely give it some time to bed in. Also fix the vibrations from the air vent beside the sub.

Audio thread- to KEF or not to KEF?

After nearly 2000 miles it seems the audio from the Kef setup has improved drastically for me. I have the EQ around +5 bass, +10 mid, +10 high and speed sensitive at medium. This is when the volume is set to around 1/4 at speeds around 50-70mph. Happy enough with the sound now.

    Emira Standard Wheel Alignment Settings?

Thanks for the reminder! I'm coming from a mcpherson strut car. I'm pretty clued in on how toe/camber affects handling but not caster. Are you saying caster affects the rate at which the camber changes through suspension travel?

    Emira Standard Wheel Alignment Settings?

Anyone with any more info on the alignment settings? The ones listed above seem quite conservative compared to what I'm used to on the road, around -2.25 camber. I'd love to know how close these compare to standard Evora settings since people may have had more time to experiment on this car.

Spacers and a slight lowering -- harmful to performance?

Probably not. If the springs are designed for the car they'll likely be more progressive so able to take the same bump force. The shocks will however rebound faster because of the increased spring rate which could make the car more unsettled over larger bumps. Increasing the front track of the...

Emiras advertised for sale on other sites

I've been keeping an eye on the UK Emira market and used seem to be selling very slowly, but I then had a look at my GT4 saved search and they're not selling too well either. Looks like the whole market is slow in general.

Here’s my feedback if useful. When I first got the car I thought the system sounded terrible while driving. I decided to play about with it recently while the car was in my garage. Emira V6 Manual "Auto Blip" Downshift Rev-Matching

It would be handy to have when really pushing on. One less thing to get wrong. I think hey could implement it easily enough in the menu. i.e if brake and clutch pressed > blip. I had an Ecutek car map that did this and it worked well. I doubt we'll ever see it though.

Lotus App Issues with Scorpion Tracker

Yes, I got mine working. Not 100% sure how. I think the Bluetooth connection to the car can make it not work, so turn off Bluetooth on the car screen and then try again. I did have things setup by scorpion support at the same time so maybe they changed something on their side too.

Audio thread- to KEF or not to KEF?

The Emira is way too loud for decent audio. You’ll be able to get something that sounds good when turned up loads but never as good when compared to other quieter cars at lower volumes.
