    Adding a subwoofer

So everyone that did the kicker left the factory sub in place? I figured I'd take that out. I'm thinking that when I kick out song with a lot of bass, If I go overboard, it does make complaining sounds. Why not just get rid of that?

    Adding a subwoofer

I was going to do a JL Audio. I already have an amp from my other car. I was debating between the 10 and 12. Did you weight those two options out?

    Lightest weight track wheels

I just replace my tires after 3 days at the track. I'm trying the Continental ExtremeContact Force. They seem decent. I did a track-ish alignment with -1.5 camber. I think the fronts are only -1.3. I'll see if that helps my sidewall wear. I had a bear getting them installed. The tirerack...

The tan looks great. Just checking on this, but does the airbag still work, or not? The word delete is a concern.

    Best Radar Detector Location

The Valentine Gen2 pickup up Laser a mile away. So you hope the guy before you gets hit and you pick that up. Laser needs to be stationary and pointed at you as you approach (or move away). Radar can be a moving patrol car. Waze + Valentine Gen 2 is pretty good protection. False alarms once...

    Limited alignment adjustments

I'm not sure what they intend, but measuring mine, it's about -.5. I'm looking to save tire wear. So I'll go to the max to start. My friend seems to know this stuff. He thought start at -2.0 to -2.5 or so, before we knew about this limitation. 3 serious driver drove my car on the track...

I ordered a rear view mirror mount, but it has not arrived yet. I tried mounting on the visor. This isn't bad. Slightly crooked, but close. Has anyone done a better job or have any other ideas??

Any update on options? I got more than two sessions, but it is the outside of the tires that wore out.

Who here has tracked their Emira?

I looked at my app. There is a possible wi-fi connection to a OBD. I'll see if mine works. I am driving hard. In the straight away out of turn 7, I can get to 117mph. Then slam on the brakes before the hairpin turn. I'm braking pretty hard. I'm in sport mode. Maybe the ABS is kicking in...

Who here has tracked their Emira?

The way my friend explained it, just 1/2 turn on each side. Then take out one shim in the back. But I need to look into it. I was surprised it could even be a DIY. My uncle was a master mechanic. He could do it my sight. Then put it on the rack to verify (and charge the customer). Big...

Who here has tracked their Emira?

Thanks. My friend at the waterski club did some racing. He suggested: Out 0.10deg in fast track 0.20deg in slow tracks with hairpins Rear Toe - In 0.10 all tracks He said I'd slip in the rain on the street. But it would be easier on the tires. I'm debating on whether to learn how to do this...

Caliper Bolt Cross Threaded - Should this be Warrantied?

This was after a track day. Not cleaned yet. I'd rather have black.

Caliper Bolt Cross Threaded - Should this be Warrantied?

Interesting on the sealant. I did get them off. What a pain. Before heat, I loosened them as much as possible. Then shot some penetrating oil over the threads. Then tightened. Then repeated. Now they both move freely. I hacked up the heads. So I need to replace them.

Thanks. I'm just going to replace this set. I should have switched L/R sooner. To clarify, a better track alignment will be less tire wear? I sort of followed you. Some tires can go between track and street. But realistically, if I got aggressive on track tires, I don't think I'd want...

Thanks. I searched TireRack for "Extreme Performance Summer" . There are only a few that fit. One comment on the ones you mentioned had a guy get three days, like me. The Continental ExtremeContact Force seem to get good reviews on wear. I'm not worried about the brakes. I have some...

Caliper Bolt Cross Threaded - Should this be Warrantied?

I'll take some pics when I do the other side. But by fee, the bolt head is sitting inside a cut out of the caliper. There is something in there to keep it from slipping. Maybe a tight piece of rubber.

Caliper Bolt Cross Threaded - Should this be Warrantied?

I went to take of my Rotor to get it resurfaced. The bottom bolt seem to be cross threaded. I can back it out about 25% with a 12 inch ratchet. Then a turn or so with a breaker bar. Then it's stuck. I'm afraid it will break off if I push it more. I can tighten it back. I put in some...

I started going to the track last month. Miami homestead. I'd like to go more. Maybe join a club. I'm trying to get a handle on tire cost/wear. I have the Goodyear F1s. With track suspension. I have done 11 sessions over 3 days. The front brakes are gone. The tires look pretty worn on...

Thanks everyone. If I were to add a subwoofer, the amp I have taps into speaker level signals then converts. It's an LC2i. It works well for shaping the bass. I'd like to get some of that goofy mid-bass out of there. My plan was to tap the back speakers, then just turn dun the overall...

You can easily test Alpine crossover too. Just wire it in. Then try. Then take it out. The wires are easy to work with when that plastic piece of off.

This is Theory v Practice. With the Alpine filter, for sure you'd use the full range going to the mids. Then the Alpine filter would provide a crossover. It is unlikely this basic system is sending true midrange signals to one pair of wires. It's not a DSP amp or anything . Just basic. It is...
