It shouldn't. It does not have any O2 sensor after the 3rd cat, so it's fully passive and doesn't throw codes.

Seems like powdercoating would last better, but I have not yet seen someone do that component.

Full-size pickups are the only time I don't prefer a manual. I tow with my trucks, and towing is just more pleasant with an auto. I used to tow with manual pickups, but the speed loss while climbing a mountain with a trailer can quickly drop you out of the powerband.

Just FYI, I have seen others on this forum have had issues with braking performance with hard driving on the Red Stuff. I use Yellow Stuff on my JCW MINI and my Evo VIII, and have been happy with them.

Okay! My dealer (Atlanta) just texted and said it's on the water, and should arrive in Baltimore by 8/20. He said I should have it by the end of the month or early September. I'm assuming that means she's onboard the Atlantic Sea.

That's also not that unusual. The Emira is a bit of a weekender for most folks, and he may have multiple homes or many cars. I have several cars which I doubt see 600 miles in 18 months. Have a dealer check it out if there's genuine reason for concern.

Fairly certain in the manual (maybe the service manual) it says that is not unusual and will clear up if parked in the sun for a while.
