The USB in the mirror surround is most likely there with dashcams in mind rather than radar detectors. As a note, radar detectors are illegal to use in the majority of Europe, they are legal in the UK but generally not widely used.

From what I can tell the blistering would only be covered on the standard (3 year warranty), unlike a metal bodied car there isn't a longer timeframe bodywork warranty, though there is an 8 year corrosion warranty for the chassis tub.

I don't know the specifics of the difference between regulations, it may be that CARB isn't as strict overall but that there is something in the minutiae that is causing issues.

It's probably more of a case of will Geely state the obvious, Lotus probably will have to toe the party line even if internally they may share similar sentiments to AM. Additionally, with EV models already on the market Lotus are unlikely to be wanting to talk down electric. In the UK market...

If I4s are indeed going to be with German dealers in a couple of weeks time then things are definitely looking more promising (along with Craig's post above). I'm still going to keep my hopes in check until we are able to see something more definitive though!
