To tint or not to tint? 😎

I like the idea of keeping the stock appearance while still cutting down on heat/UV. Hard to tell from your pic but it appears to have a slightly silvery tint? Or is that just the lighting and maybe effect from your interior and exterior colors?

    Battery chargers

Not in a compartment, which is probably unfortunate for you. My dealer handed it to me when I pointed out to him that the sticker shows that it is included at no extra cost. This is in the US. May not be the case elsewhere.

Did someone steal my gas cap?

Maybe not for no personal gain. People are now drilling into the bottom of gas tanks in So Cal to steal gas. Just read a news story on this. Stealing gas is still a thing it seems.

    Hello from the PNW USA

Just noticed this, 3 out of four of us were non-full black pack, and know this was by choice for at least myself and @neiru37. Still waiting to see how f anyone on the forum claims the vivid red at the show. @Tomwa what would you have chosen? I’m thinking zinc may look better with?

    Hello from the PNW USA

Great day and great meet up with @neiru37 @Tomwa! I’ll post a few of my own pics later.

    What is coming 16.09.24??

Ferrari SF90 Stradale, La Ferrari, and before those the Enzo to sell "lesser" Ferraris. The list goes on. I'm just concerned about the dollars Lotus must have spent on Theory 1 at a time where the dollars could have been better allocated. Of course they did have partners with deep pockets who...

    What is coming 16.09.24??

I'm in heated agreement with @Eagle7. During my time with General Motors, there was a saying that it's the Corvettes that bring the customers into the showroom to buy the Chevettes. Car companies need their flagship bling but stay alive selling cars in volume. Tesla was never going to survive on...

    Latest Emira Production Update

I thought so too on first glance but this is probably not correct. The price shown for "Emira V6" is higher than for a the i4 FE, which is fully loaded. Also, when you go though the options for Emira V6 on the UK configurator, they are exactly the same as what the options were on the FE. These...

    What is coming 16.09.24??

I felt the same after seeing that this is in fact much more than just a render. But I can't help but think Lotus is pouring boatloads of cash into the wrong priorities. I admittedly don't know much about these things, but is Lotus/Geely just window-dressing for a sale of the company (rather than...

    Latest Emira Production Update

On the US configurator, the base V6 options are exposed now, albeit without pricing. Presumably what's standard is already ticked and the other unticked choices will be additional cost. Interesting that this is up on the US configurator but not the UK configurator...

    What is coming 16.09.24??

Sorry but the more I look at this this the more I think: 1. It's not a car that will be produced even close to this form, it's a concept (already been stated by many). That alone says I should not give this very much energy (pun intended? Sorry it just came out that way so I'm going with it)...

    USA/Canada Delivery Thread

Very interesting that Galpin would be asking you to finalize an order for something they can’t tell you what iwill would cost you. Just the latest Lotus insult, or just over aggressive sales tactics? Are they giving you any build or delivery projections? Wondering if this has anything to do...

How many Emira owners in SoCal?

Wish I could have been there, to hang out with you guys, looks like it was a nice venue and intimate get together. Im concerned that Exotics at Redmond this weekend will be just too many cars and crowds for my liking. I’ve heard they attract hundreds of cars every weekend. In an environment...

    Two bad things

Ok, so it's been established for me: 1. Dry the brakes before putting the car away for more than a few days to avoid the parking brake getting stuck on the rotors. 2. For longer term storage, put in gear with no parking brake. But my other issue is still open. That's the "full throttle at...

How many Emira owners in SoCal?

Nice! An Elan Sprint, Lotus 7, Exige, and caught a glimpse of an Esprit. Oh, and yes a nice assortment of Emiras! Jealous! Meanwhile we got rained out here for British Car day at Exotics at Redmond. Was happy to hear not a cancellation though, just postponed till next Saturday. If the weather...

Prices for PPF, tint, ceramic coat, etc. to protect your new baby

Feel free to take advantage of the google docs spreadsheet in my footer. Although focused on So Cal and likely not been updated in awhile, this could provide you with a starting point. Pricing varies widely across the country depending on location, FYI. Feel free to add to this list if you'd like.

Thanks, that explains some things I was thinking already (that the hand brake has a spring that pulls them back from the rotor whereas the Emira probably doesn't).

    Two bad things

the unstick BANG is terrifying. I was convinced I'd broken something the first time it happened. Yes it was awful and very concerning hearing that. I imagine this could cause damage, maybe to the pad or something else, but have you had or heard of any occurrences of damage while unsticking? If...

    Two bad things

Thanks everyone, that's why I LOVE this forum and all of you! Many of you have hit on why the parking brake issue occurred for me. I DID wash the car (in prep for Brit Day in Redmond), and then because of the late hour, put it away in the garage and didn't drive it for a week and a half. So...

    Two bad things

So just when I started getting lulled into thinking I had escaped most of the bad things, two bad things happened in the last two weeks. One of them we've heard of, just don't know if it's been resolved, and one maybe not. A couple of weeks ago I encountered the "full throttle at start up" issue...

    📓 Journals Graham's Road Trip CA-WA

And that's a wrap on this road trip! Made it into Kirkland and pulled into my palatial imitation apartment building (sorry, Fletch fan here) right at my scheduled time of 1pm. Awaiting its more permanent, and equally palatial, private garage accommodation at the end of the month. Hope y'all...

But then, RAIN. Dang it, no rain was forecasted when I began this journey 2 days earlier so what's going on here? First a light mist. Ok, can deal with this. Then lots of traffic, semis, and blinding spray. Not great. Also during this time I noticed the rain sensing wipers don't sense all that...

    📓 Journals Graham's Road Trip CA-WA

So after a nice peaceful and pleasant drive through scenic mountains and very little traffic, it got boring and straight again. I think this was north of Eugene. And then it got exciting again and not in a good way, when a guy ran across the freeway in front of my car. Mind you this was probably...

    📓 Journals Graham's Road Trip CA-WA

I was having such a good time that I completely forgot about a gas stop. Yikes! Found myself in the middle of nowhere on fumes. Fumbling frantically through Apple maps, I located the ONLY stop for like 30 miles. Lucky LUCKY! Turned out to be a town called Wolf Creek, OR. Funky little...
