does anyone know why this would be normal? On most cars, this is an issue that needs to be fixed/replaced. Just odd to me.

Although the MF is not good, isnt the residual actually pretty good? If the MF can be negotiated down it may not be a bad way to go.

I wish they would open up financing to non service members (or family of etc) but pay extra points. It would still be better than what’s out there.

Funny he played this same game with me as well with not committing to msrp or less at time of delivery. Playing word games. I told him I was taking my business elsewhere if he didn’t commit in writing to as such. He finally conceded. Got it in writing.

Hello! Saw your post getting your car. I have a deposit at Eurocar. Mine wont be here for a long time. If you dont mind letting us know what type of up sells they are doing, like warranty, maintenance, ppf, etc... all the extra costs. That would be very helpful. Thx! And congrats!!!

So Cal PPF installers and customer experiences

wow 10k! Seems rather steep. I personally wouldn't get it done there for that much. I recall several years ago when I went through this the price variability in so cal was tremendous. Of course the installer makes a huge difference. Please let us know if you get more info.

So Cal PPF installers and customer experiences

Thanks for starting this thread. There is a forum member that is offering ppf and ceramic coatings. I’m blanking on his name right now. There are a ton of ppf installers in so cal. Any idea what eurocar is charging for ppf? Wonder who they are using and what product?

Paint Protection Film (PPF) and Wrap for your Emira

I haven't fully started the search yet as my car is many months out. I had my last car done in Vegas and then sent to me in so cal. This time I will use a so cal ppf installer. I do recall there were several places that seemed competent when I looked before a couple years ago. Not sure who...

I second STEK as well. I've had Xpel and it was far inferior to STEK. I will be using STEK again when the Emira arrives.

Paint Protection Film (PPF) and Wrap for your Emira

Yeah I would never pay for that. That is really bad. Looks like pre-cut pieces and I believe even with that, an installer can modify it to over size the pieces so they wrap around so the edges aren't seen. Aside from aesthetics, the coverage isn't as good as it should be, plus if there ever...

Ive had both XPEL and STEK and STEK is so much better in my opinion. When mine comes in I'm using it again. But in the end, no matter what film is used, if the installer isn't good it wont matter. That's more important than the film. Let us know how it turns out! Congrats!

thx for the info. Do you do install at Eurocar OC or do we arrange to have it sent there from dealership? Prefer to avoid driving it around before film is placed.

Any chance you have STEK as well? I will do ceramic coating on wheels/calipers. Not on the film. What would that cost? Oh yeah what's the name of your shop? Thx!

Sluggish throttle compared to Demo a year ago

i thought we were told that whatever updates were done didn't effect performance. I sure hope that it didn't effect anything. I already thought the low end power/torque were to slow/low to begin with.

9-11 k for ppf? That’s absolutely crazy. Unless they are padding it a lot it should in no way cost that much. There are tons of ppf installers in so cal. It is true that with ppf you get what you pay for, but this seems a bit exorbitant. Did they ever get a test car like Galpin did to drive...

What can I do about Tiny Pedals, Huge Blind Spot and Touchy Brakes?

The omission of blind spot monitor is inexcusable tbh for multiple reasons. The work arounds are neat but not a replacement of a standard for many cars especially at this price point and with the inherent blind spots the car possesses. It is what it is but lotus needs to step it up.

Someone remind me: why is there no frunk? Heck even bugatti has one. Not sure there are any mid engines that dont have one. I forget what was going on in that area to not have one.

Yeah this yellow and black combo looks sharp. In another thread someone had also posted the serial numbers for the 2 different emblems. Anyhow hope that this yellow black combo is what these cars are coming with.

On a side note, someone had posted about the badges on the front and wheels having a silver/black color rather than the yellow. Is that an option during ordering? I much prefer the original yellow color.

    Modding the infotainment screen

It is odd that in todays digital cluster revolution so to speak, the one on the Emira is underwhelming. It seems very novice in comparison to many other automakers. Hopefully an update down the road makes it more customizable and colorful as well.

As a DD it’s important to me plus any car at this price point should have these features. You can turn it off if you don’t want it. Plus given it’s a Toyota engine one would think these features exist in Toyotas. I know it’s not exactly the same but the precedent exists. Nonetheless hopefully...

Did he explain why? Not sure I understand what the engine has to do with the electronics of a safety system.

    Daily Driving

That’s very interesting as I think the ones coming to the US, the v6 at least, doesn’t have it. The demo I drove didn’t have it nor does the website list it. I found this to be a major oversight given its blind spots and how much the car costs. I’m hoping the MY 2025 has it.

If for some reason the hp and or low end torque etc is reduced, I'm out. I already feel the low end power is semi inadequate and slow to uptake. I can't imagine what a diminished response would be like and thinking that would be ok. The ECU tunes seem like a big gamble to me while under...
