I'm guessing you left one screw on each side of the support strip.... the two outter most screws, one on each side, of the support beam need to be removed, it'll fall down when properly un-fastened so be sure to hold it.

I use Race Ramps, so I only need to lift at the OEM lift points to get the ramp under the wheel, then remove the jack. When draining oil I leave the rear on race ramps and move my jacks to either front side and level the car to get all the oil drained....no jack stands in this scenario.

As menioned above regarding race ramp heights - I originally bought the 12" blocks and they were waaaay too high, it put the front of the car at such a downward angle that the nose almost touched the ground - I returned the 12" and bought the 8", they're perfect!

My comment wasn't very constructive :) I had the Mercedes E-diff in my previous C63s -- I wasn't a fan, it was unpredictable and I just never liked it. Perhaps the i4 version is improved, and likely feels different with the 300 hp power difference the AMG had.

The V6 has a mechanical limited slip -- screw that E diff stuff, keep it real!

Good info, thanks for sharing! I've got the two o-rings and gasket ordered and will be replacing them myself upon receipt -- the dealer(s) have been fairly useless wanting me to transport the car hours away and leave it for weeks for something they should order (based on my photos) and be ready...

I did not use a pipe expander when I installed my GRP delete pipe, but I did use some exhaust sealant paste, no issues.

Similar scenario happened to my car around the same mileage -- pulled over, shut off, waited 5 min, it's never happened again 1600 miles later. I wouldn't worry about it unless it occurs again.

Does anyone have a part diagram, or know if there's just a single base gasket under the entire pipe assembly, which is what I believe it is,. All I have found so far are similar parts going back to the 2015 time frame when they had recalls for the rubber line replacements. Is this the ticket...

The image is before I drained the oil and changed the filter -- it's also looking 'up' at the filter housing area. To me it looks like the pipe connection, whether it's a gasket that covers the entire area, or maybe an o-ring at the pipe -- it would be nice to know what's supposed to be there...
