I received my GRP blue high flow air filter today and went right to installing it -- very straigh forward install, remove the engine covers, coolant sensor, MAF sensor, loosen two intake clamps and set the big hose aside -- then remove 3 small torx screws across the top of the airbox which...

I had an active order for another tuner and opted to cancel the order and see where this lands --- V6 manual -- let's do it.

Ya'll keep figuring out this mess of miscommunication and seat of pants performance boost - once settled I'll hit the buy button :) but for now waaaay too many mysteries.

Not sure I saw this question or mention in the thread -- how does drive mode affect the map option (tour , sport, race vs. map 1 or map 2)? Thanks!

That as found position is crazy -- I noticed that you ended up positioning your 'as left' where mine was factory -- I moved mine a second time to match what KitKat had in his initial post with even better results -- give it a try!

Confirmed even more smoothness achieved with the last move to match the original post -- 1st to 2nd and 3rd to 2nd are significantly better than they ever were -- yes!!

Wow, comparing my as left to Kit Kat's as left is a big difference (photo attached), I'm going to open it back up and move it much further forward. Edit -- went and took care of it but can't take for a drive until later or tomorrow. That was a big move of the plate -- very very smooth in all...

I'm also curious if there's a sweet spot in the adjustment range? Where have others ended up on their adjustment? Maybe I have more to go; it would be nice to know a ballpark range folks found they liked. I think reverse and going into 1st is very much improved, but 1st to 2nd and 3rd to 2nd...

I'm waiting to smash the buy it now button :)

I'm apparently color blind, a more closer look with glasses certainly cleared it up! LOL

@kitkat Correct me if I'm mistaken, the tuner doesn't seem to offer any benefit in power or torque until you cross roughly 5300 RPM on the V6?

I didn't even notice the washer mark until you mentioned it -- I hope I made it tight enough when I put it back, doubt I cranked it tight enough to make a mark with the washer, we'll see.

You can see the move better zoomed in on the original alignment mark -- I moved the plate forward

I cannot believe I waited 3500 miles -- the adjusting screw wasn't even hand tight -- although it really didn't look like it had moved from the paint marked spot -- until I moved it up,, wow wow wow what a difference. Reverse, 1st, and 2nd, much more like buttah now compared to the force...
