    Privacy glass “double negative” option

It's not through use of the rear defrost. The tint film just cannot follow the contours, and you get tiny air gaps at each side of the heating element strips. also the tint film being on the inside, highlights the heater elements, whereas the factory glass has the tint in the glass itself, so...

    Privacy glass “double negative” option

No they dont. Tinting the clear rear glass looks awful, don't do it.

possibly, but you'd need to check the ET (offset) to be sure, Emira is 57 front, 54 rear, but as the wheels are roughly 1" narrower than Emira, it would need some thought. I think the PCD is the same, and a couple of campanies offer 18" for Emira, so assume they'd clear the calipers on the...

Well, they've redone the CAD with my small alteration to the spokes and sent a visual render (obviously virtual). Time will tell.

I think you need to chill. I stated that being China, who knows! We'll see what they're like if and when they arrive. My point was, the incredibly condescending comment that only a company being baby-sat by the mighty US could be trusted with such technical issues. Remind me again where all...

Have you watched the manufacturing videos on their site? Assuming it's real (really them), it all looks very good. As I said, at that price, I'm prepared for any outcome. The person I spoke to knew about the order from 09Cayman, even remembered the colour of his car. centre cap locating detail

So, I just ordered a set of these, thank you 09Cayman :) A note for anyone doing this, the published spigot hub diameter on wheel-size .com is wrong. They state that the front hubs have a slightly larger boss (69.1mm) as apposed to the rear (68.1mm) this is NOT correct, Front and Rear are all...

I measured today, you are correct, and the internet is wrong. all 4 corners are 68.1mm. the spigot on the hub measures 67.97mm on all 4

    Blendmount for Emira

I will measure it and post tomorrow. OK, The stem, is 17mm diameter. The usable area of the stem that you could realistically clamp onto (whilst still being able to move the mirror) is only really about 10mm, 12 max, any more would foul the swivelling of the ball joint mount. The distance from...

3 Questions for Emira owners with PPF

I got mine done with Xpel, whole car covered. Done by GVE in London (UK) I had them do the wheel colour change as well, but I think the PPF aspect of the job cost about £3k plus sales tax, so about £3600 total. No regrets at all, protected from smaller stone chips and general scuffs etc, plus...

Has anyone successfully rejected their car

Mine doesn't, at all. To be fair, i've only done a couple of thousand miles so far, but no door seal whistles, no paint bubbles and it's never missed a beat (collected 1st sept '23). There must be some very unlucky folk out there :( It's a shame.

    Emira performance - disappointing?

That's odd. According to the charts you show, the 435 actually makes more peak torque than the 460, but just doesn't rev as high. Is this a product of running the stock cast exhaust manifolds and pre-cats?? Or am I missing something? Confused of Shepperton.

    Emira performance - disappointing?

Yes, that's another disappointment for me, The syncro feels a little weak on 2nd gear to me. It's OK under normal road driving, but if you try a 'sprint' through the lower gears using all the RPM's, the syncro feels inadequate on 2nd gear (grinds rather easily) I may be wrong, but get the...

    Emira performance - disappointing?

I'm really surprised that more folk don't comment on that 'hard' limiter. It's my biggest complaint of the Emira setup, Too low, and too abrupt., it's SOOO abrupt, feels like someone pulls a wire off as it touches the limiter, rather than just stutter at the redline. I hate it. Given the tech...
