Well, last week I made a few calls (dropped) and a few webchats (dropped), registered for a callback (never came), but ultimately did get an email with a link to pay my configuration fee... and for my troubles, I got another "thanks, well be in touch soon" email. No link to "My Lotus" or...

Pressure tactics are lame, but I think whoever you spoke to is misinformed... the terms on the form where you pay your "configuration fee" actually stated quite clearly that monies remain refundable until you go through checkout and officially place an order. Ignore the blatantly incorrect...

Wait... what!? The deposit becomes non-refundable after this out-of-the-blue second payment?! I was under the impression you are committed only when they begin the build, otherwise how do they legally justify hanging onto any money, having provided nothing, and incurred no unrecoverable costs? :|

So... my last email in Feb said I was on track for a Q1 2024 build, but I've received the email yesterday asking for second deposit / config. Is this an indicator of how many people may have bailed out after the price rise? After all this waiting around, I thought I could plan around not...
