I have unheated garage and have bought many various vehicles with No attention of keeping them more than a year.. The Emira I do plan to keep and wonder if anyone has tried a Car Capsule and if it does slow down the corrosion of Aluminum ...Nothing worse than looking at Aluminum all oxidized...

I live in NJ and any vehicle I care about is removed from the road when First Salt gets put down.. Past years they tend to put it down rather early when they just hear of light icing .. And usually just a waste of money..Then I usually wait till March for first outing after we get rain.

This is a 3 wheel Polaris Slingshot that I custom made body.. This is a 5 speed with 300 HP and weights 1400 lbs and has a 80 inch front wheel tracking width and probably more fun than my Lotus will be but I just can not stop looking at Emira.. The gray one is what it looked like when new..

If you are that determined to have removal roof I would look for a used upper end car that has it and not take a chance on structure of Emira and plus you will be adding weight to it with what will be needed to give strength for the removed roof section... If it is about you need to have Emira...

I always tell myself if you buy used , great price but just do not know how it was taken care of....But you buy New its yours and you control how you want the car to stay new or abused for the length or ownership..At 73 yrs old this will probably be my last toy..Not worried how much I will lose...

Another NJ guy who just ordered the I4 from Lotus of Philly....Was told not to look for it before Mid 2025.. So after summer will see if any change in I4 of arriving any earlier than Mid 2025.. I may just go look V6 towards end of year or even used one.. But would really prefer I4 AMG ...
