High delivery mileage on new order.

Sounds like a car that was never titled/registered so its technically new but probably a dealer test drive demo car. I'd been super upset as well and would absolutely reject the car. No way you know how hard those 300+ miles were given how bad the condition is.

GRP Titanium Exhaust Coming In HOT!

I found it hard to believe as well but yes the bumper needs to come off to do it. The foam is sandwiched between the bumper and car body. That foam covers one of three tip mounting bolts. Seems like there was another trim piece that come off with that bolt too where you need the bumper off. Its...

    Rear diffuser bolts

I wouldve made the same mistake but saw Dragoons helpful video before removing diffuser for exhaust tip swap. You actually dont need to remove the diffuser at all either as part of an oil change.

    No heat until 115F

Most cars (not EVs) work that way. Its running the warmed up coolant through a heater core (small radiator basically). Blows the air over that to get the warm air. You can use the seat warmers to feel a bit of heat until that point (if not wearing a thick coat etc)

Yellow triangle on dash and SOS warning message

I had the exact thing happen to mine. The light never came on in first 7 months. Disconnected the battery for the first time to do steering wheel buttons and the light came on. Drove the car and it wouldnt go off until restarted it after driving. This was consistent several times if sat for...

Is it true our tires can’t be patched?

Also heard high speed rated tires can not be patched/repaired. I took a Z rated tire to Discount tire under warranty and they said they would patch it no problem. Other times ( I think Firestone) the shop said no to a patch. If you're not doing sustained high speed runs the tire should be fine...

Dealer said I4 was CARB approved.

Dealers usually dont know first and will say anything to look smart. When the V6 got approval I was the 1st one to let my dealer to know it was approved after seeing it on FB and here. They didnt find out officially for 2 days after that.

Air con known issue -no fix yet [EDIT: now with official fix]

Your first pic that shows the shield in place looks quite different (better) than my install by dealer (2 posts up). LHD and RHD differences aside. The folds and fitment is different. Dont think mine has that reservoir labeled power steering on cap in front of the cabin/pollen filter either. On...

Air con known issue -no fix yet [EDIT: now with official fix]

Just had the AC 'shield' thing done and was tracking down a possible issue in the cowl. (see NA prob thread) Was curious also for a better view (both sides) of the shield too. Here is a better view of it. Basically a large flap of plastic. I slightly improved the folds to channel water away and...

    North American Emira Problem Thread

ESC/Reduced power lights. No CEL Drove the car from home about 15 mins. Completely normal with not pushing the car at all. Got off interstate and were stopped at exit ramp red light. Wife and I both heard a faint sound (prob 1 second) like when have a piece of gravel rattling in the wheel well...

    Driving shoes

I wear a 13 and had probs sometimes with normal width shoes hitting the gas a bit when i was trying to brake. The offset gear box doesnt help on where to keep feet. It takes getting used to for sure. I bought a pair of basic Amazon driving loafers/shoes but found them very uncomfortable to walk...

Emira V6 Maintenance Schedule -Official from dealer

They did tell me those USD$ amounts were just a guide or something. Hopefully so as they seem excessive to me. $180 for just an oil filter and the oil! For some reason the exact same service (labor cost) at 1 year is more than the 1000 mile one too. Interested to see that there is a manual...

You can try using the other memory setting to set it to all the way back for exit and entry. Will have to select that memory setting when turning the car off though.

Wheel well felt-material doesn't seem screwed in?

I only removed the rears when i was removing the rear bumper. Could've just removed the lower rear retainers and not removed the arches entirely as shown in Dragoons excellent exhaust tip video. I personally wouldnt remove the liners since they protect a lot of sensitive wiring and components...

Wheel well felt-material doesn't seem screwed in?

They arent really screws. They are push in retainers/rivets . Usually you have to pull out the inner 'screw' looking thing cause they wont normally simply unscrew. The wheel liner isnt supposed to be really rigid though. A couple of youtube vids on how to remove them. I did find the rivet at...

Emira V6 Maintenance Schedule -Official from dealer

Took my car to the dealer yesterday for recalls (water shield and EVAP canister check). While there I asked if they had the maintenance schedule for the Emira. Id only seen them for the Evora so far. Been wanting this as a guide since I do all my own maintenance. Also included a matrix that...

Steering Wheel Press-Type Buttons Now Available from GRP!

make sure you're keeping the flat end at 90 deg (to the dash/fwd) as you push into the hole. See GRPs instructions for pics of the little release rods. If you dont the screwdriver will slip past that rod and not do anything. Youll feel a bit of resistance if that happens.

Cruise control speedometer vs Google maps speedometer don’t match so which is correct?

Same % off as OP on mine. All our European cars are off similar %. Some rule that they can show a bit fast originally but not indicate slow at all if the owner decides to change the tire size a bit.

Is it weird I like driving it a lot more than modern 911's?

We have a 991 now (previously 996) and I feel like the electric power steering has kind of ruined the feel of them since they went to that. Big difference driving them back to back. Also they continue to grow in size too much. Great car but its my wife's that she wanted so the Emira was my choice.

Lots of water in the car door

I looked at my doors to confirm where the drain holes are. Mine are there in the drain spot shown in the first video at the very front of the door. The appears to be slightly curved to this low point. On mine it looked like they would drain whether the door is open or not but opening it may...

Lots of water in the car door

Good to see the video as I wondered if they actually had a drain spot or it just happens to drain there. I had already noticed the horrible window and door seal mating is an awful design. If you look there is a huge gap for water to get in at the rear of the door/window seal. I started putting...

Wing mirror view - drivers side

A bit taller than you so probably have the same sitting position. That was a major concern for me before I got the car. The roadshow demo and both of the cars I sat in on test drives all had that similar issue with the side mirror view. (half the mirror taken up by rear fender) I was...

    JUBU cooling upgrade 2GR

Pretty sure if you open up the coolant hoses and remove the thermostat you need to rebleed the system which requires a special vacuum bleeder tool. Wheel shimmy

I'd check to make sure none of your adhesive weights haven't fallen off a wheel. There should be a clean spot or residue. Also check wheel bolts torque (prob not that) If those ok Id take to the dealer and have them balance check each wheel (assume they can do that). Then harder things to check...
