Komo-Tec power phase released for V6 Emira

Since this thread is supposed to be about Komo-tec, honestly I'd prefer it if the Jubu info was put in it's own thread. It's really not fair to either company or their customers to have them mixed up like this, since this is a specific vendor thread and not a shoot-out comparison thread...

If you sold your EMIRA what’s next?

As for the Emira, more power and less weight can be added, and for a lot less than a Ferrari or a new edition Emira. The less weight part can be added in phases, depending on how far you want to go, and what or if you're willing to sacrifice any comfort. I'm not interested in making the car...

If you sold your EMIRA what’s next?

I'd rather put a few extra bucks into upgrading the Emira, than take a huge hit on depreciation to buy something else.

Komo-Tec power phase released for V6 Emira

I got those figures from Car & Driver, but I'll correct them to the ones Porsche claims.

Komo-Tec power phase released for V6 Emira

Yeah this surprises me as well because that's an increase of 53 ft lbs of torque over stock. With that much of an increase, the car should have launched like a rocket. Is the increase only above a certain rpm?

Komo-Tec power phase released for V6 Emira

You'd be surprised. The lighter a car is to begin with, the more of a difference further weight reduction makes. It could be the Porsche trans is quicker from 1st to 2nd, I've not driven one so I can't say for sure, but that would be my guess. The Emira manual trans doesn't shift very quick...

    Sports/Touring, more differences?

Vertical movement is when the angle of the road surface changes, like going through a dip, over a rise, or from flat to an incline or the opposite. It's also happens when going from flat to banked, or coming out of a banked turn onto a flat section. The front wheels are moving vertically up...

Komo-Tec power phase released for V6 Emira

It has a lot to do with torque, which is what the Emira needs more of. Torque is what gets you off the line and moving. Just out of curiosity, I pulled the stats for the Emira vs the C8, some Porsche's and I threw the Alfa Quadrifoglio in. As you can see, the cars with the least amount of...

What did you do to your Emira today?

Yes, but can it play reindeer games?

    Sports/Touring, more differences?

My AWD Alfa Romeo Giulia has electric steering, and it's EXCELLENT. Very responsive. However the feel is programmed, calculated feel versus actual feel which is what the Lotus has. In addition to steering feel, the Lotus adds vertical movement feedback so there's more information about the...

What did you do to your Emira today?

If you're going to do any of your own wrenching, it's worth it to go to Harborfreight and get a breaker bar. I have two; a 1/2" and a 3/8". They're easier to use, and don't risk ruining a ratchet. I even bought a set of impact sockets so I don't have to worry about ruining one of my regular...

    JUBU Group Buy 15% discount

Have you done any dragy runs after things got sorted out? I've asked Santa for a Dragy for Christmas, so as soon as the snow melts and we have decent road conditions I'll be able to post some results.

Gamers! Assetto Corsa EVO coming Jan 16th - has the Emira!

This looks good! Now if they'll offer an in-game training with Misha as your instructor on the ring, that would be fantastic!

Komo-Tec power phase released for V6 Emira

I watched the YouTube video of Misha driving the Komo tuned 475 hp Emira on the Nurburgring, and it showed going to 7k. I don't know if that's just for the 475 tune or it's like that for all the tune packages.

Komo-Tec power phase released for V6 Emira

Any updates from Komo on their 430 tune? Any news about support for the U.S.?
  22. Eagle7

Why won’t the bloody thing start?!

Battery? Check to make sure the cables are securely attached to the battery posts. Have the dealer do a battery health check; make sure it's charging properly and holding a charge. Could be an improper ground connection somewhere. Check the ECU (Lotus calls it the ECM) connection to the...

    Seats and Footwell

Originally Lotus was supposed to do this too, but I guess there was some kind of issue, so they brought back the in-house team to assemble the seats themselves. This is why I'm thinking there might be some variances in assembly that cause some seats to be so uncomfortable for some people. It...

    Everyone's Mod Priority List

I'm waiting for Komo's 430 tune. I want to see what the results are, and what kind of process/support they put in place for customers in the U.S.

    Lightweight battery

The Lotus charger I got says it works with both AGM and Lithium.

    Seats and Footwell

Yeah I'm wondering if there are some seat issues in manufacturing/assembly on some seats, because this is the first time I've ever seen this radical a difference in how a seat affects people. Maybe there's a seat alignment adjustment profile or something that a dealer can check? Does Lotus...

    Seats and Footwell

I'm really surprised how these seats are horrible for some, and fine for others. I keep thinking it has to be adjustment. How are you adjusting the seat? It's too bad there isn't a default setting that positions everything in a certain way, then you can go from there. Looking at the diagram...

    Loss of interior lights

The glove box switch would be the one that turns the light on and off when you open and close the glove box. The rear view mirror also has the HomeLink switches in it. Sounds like it might have been something the sound deadening guy did.

    Loss of interior lights

Somehow one of the hot wires to one of those systems has shorted. Did you ever see water in the footwell? Any water leaks into the glovebox or area around it? Glovebox switch or light? Often a wire that's out of place near a moving assembly can wear through and ground against whatever was...

It would be fuse 82 if that's the issue. Could also be a loose ground somewhere.

    Lumbar supports not working?

A video showing these in action and how these work would be really helpful for making adjustments. So the lumbar moving up isn't really moving, it's the difference between 2 bladders? One above and one below?
