Agree there’s going to be issues, it’s the speed and determination that these get resolved and it appears Lotus are focussing on improving quality.

Yes positive in the main I agree but: Evo didn’t rave about it. Auto express said “Overall, it’s strong effort, if not quite a class-leading one. Yet.”. I’m stil in, second test drive booked in January, just need to make the seats fit me better somehow on the test drive.

Excellent engine just shows you where 4 wheel drive can really help torquey motors, must feel as quick as your R8 around town.

I think the forum views on the car and Lotus are representative of the mixed reception the journalists gave the car. Some love it, some think it’s average and some just think it’s a rehashed Evora. It’s fair to say the Lotus experience is unique in a lot of ways both positive and negative.

Great review and some excellent cars to benchmark it to. So day to day driving would you take the lambo or Emira - both are exotic.

I had trouble with the seats, I couldn’t get a good driving position, the seat back felt rock hard and yes I tried the myriad of buttons lumber etc I’m 5 foot 9

Hi did the dealer acknowledge the issues and were they going to feed them back to Lotus. My worry is what Lotus deem to be acceptable and what i deem to be acceptable may be poles apart ; not that I'm finicky

I saw a 296 on a test drive in Nottingham as i was out driving the new AM Vantage - the rear looks reminiscent of an American supercar. Can you flip the 296 or is there a clause in the Ferrari contract?

Very pleased for the owner if he managed to get over list price - so glad he/she didn't have to start reducing the price as it wouldn't have bode well for us latecomers (December, January Delivery)

Some Mercedes’ cars some suffer from it, they call it crabbing. I drove a manual 2020 plate vantage which suffered from it in the wet on full lock and slow speed, yet the Auto version didn’t which was weird. None of my cars have ever done it.

That's because the I4s are destined for China first, start the groundswell in that region then build for Europe and UK.

That isn't the air vent it's the speaker vent. If you put the music on loud you can feel slight bass on that vent.

It doesn't sound bad at tickover if that's the I4

The traction was fully on and I was in second and didn’t boot it with full lock on. There was no indication it was going to slip , it just happened.
