I replaced the nose badge, wheel centers, and lettering with black. Yellow Lotus badges clash badly with the Hethel Yellow body.

Great post, thanks for sharing! I'm excited to get through the break-in period and do some track days or nights. I've done several in my Elise and many autocross events, but I'll sign up for a novice spot for the Emira - it's a completely different beast.

If the "no-resale" agreement wasn't part of your non-refundable deposit paperwork I would challenge it. I don't know Canadian/Provincial law, but I would seek council to see if it's legal / enforceable.

I asked about hill assist during delivery. My sales guy said the car doesn't have hill assist. I asked how do you take off from a stop on a hill with out a handbrake? He said (paraphrasing) "use your skills!".

Black nose badge and LOTUS lettering are OEM options. Not sure about the wheel centers but Greg's Race Parts carries them.

Yes, I was pointing out if I only pay $200 in Minneapolis for even MORE oil and a similar process, Emira should be about the same.

The manual DOES NOT say you cannot exceed 4,000 rpm for the first 1,000 miles. Brief high rpm bursts are "beneficial".

Yeah, and the official solution was to drill drain holes from below! That worked for my 2006 Elise, never had a problem with AC/fans and it gets wet frequently. 👍 :giggle:
