The advanced is 3 sessions before lunch - Over/Understeer on the skid pan, slalom and brake & avoid. After lunch two 20 min high speed track sessions. There is quite a lot of time hanging around, but good chats to be had with fellow attendees.

    Emira Full Handbook

Received mine yesterday, very happy with it, particularly as I could never get the pdf to display properly for very long. Thanks very much Martyn, and Mrs Martyn for despatching!

No, but I assumed it was part of the package from Mercedes/AMG whereas with Toyota it wasn't an option. Someone on here who knows a bit about the architecture of the electronics may be able to explain it? I remember thinking "disappointing but I can live without that" (I bought a V6 manual not...

I recall Matt Windle (while on an LDA day last May) saying that the i4 engine package comes with the electronics for ADAS, whereas the V6 does not, and Lotus have no plans to develop ADAS just for the V6.

    Emira Full Handbook

    I would definitely buy one.

    is Emira a SuperCar?

Could I suggest this as an enlightening read: https://media.lotuscars.com/en/news-articles/lotus-emira-delivering-exotic-supercar-appeal-in-the-sports-car-segment.html

I don't think there are any ADAS features on the V6 model, so for this model at least, it is not surprising that there is no blind spot detection.

I can't see this working with the stock Emira mirrors. With the mirrors rotated fully outward, you still see a huge chunk of the rear of the car, particularly on the driver's side. I haven't yet sussed if there is a blind spot and if so how big it is, but it's safer to assume that there is one.

    I'm in too.

New software update released - has anyone had it yet?

The auto parking brake only works when you turn the engine off, at least that's what it does in my V6 manual, and from what I recall the User Handbook says the same. Hill start assist only works when the car is in (1st?) gear and your feet are on the clutch and brake, then when you take your...

    Lotus Driving Experience

Interesting, did you not have a slalom session as well? I did that course in May last year and we had 3 sessions in the morning, including a slalom. Matt the Lotus MD and his brother were on the course too, but I doubt it was enhanced just for their benefit!

The front end looks like it crashed... ?

Yes it looks nothing like that in person. Just about everyone swoons when they see it. It is a staggeringly beautiful car.

Air con known issue -no fix yet [EDIT: now with official fix]

The fan on max speed now sounds like a jet engine, noisier than in any other car I have been in. As for the efficiency of demisting, it seems to need AC on to keep demisted until the inside is fully warmed up. I press the dmist button and let it do its own thing. Haven't driven it enough yet...

Air con known issue -no fix yet [EDIT: now with official fix]

Now fixed, including 2 software updates, which appear to have triggered the SOS error message. HVAC now working better than it ever has, and I'm very impressed with the service received from Stratton Motor Company (in the UK).

Yellow triangle on dash and SOS warning message

My Emira has just been in to have the HVAC resistor issue fixed. They also did 2 software updates while it was in. Since then I've had this warning appear every time I've started it, apart from when I drove it home from the dealers. I think the main battery may have been disconnected for up to...

Yes, that was my experience, intermittent, then total failure.

Air con known issue -no fix yet [EDIT: now with official fix]

HVAC on mine (July 23 build) has been "interesting" from the start. As my initial miles were with AC on for cooling, and it worked reasonably well, I thought there was no problem. But first time out in the cold and rain, I had to have max demist on with AC to stop the windows misting up. Switch...

Latest Car Magazine review — says it all

Ah, OK I was interpreting "middling" as being the middle of Tour/Sport/Track modes. Lots of potential for confusion with the two chassis options and three modes to play with!

Latest Car Magazine review — says it all

Two things I noticed which are not my experience: (1) "You need to prod the drive mode switch several times before the car will allow you to switch between settings". I thought that initially, but you only need to prod it once, and wait for a second or two. Prodding it repetitively seems to...

Absolutely loving this thread, like everyone else! You mention cleaning your car a lot, seems to be in the hotel car park. Would you mind sharing your approach to this - Autoglym detailer over the whole car? Won't that scratch?

Suggestions for where to stay near Hethel

Lots of really good suggestions in this thread so far. Don't write off Norwich, it is a lovely city, but relatively small, has great pubs and restaurants, lots of interesting places to visit including a fantastic Norman castle. I live there, but not biased (OK, maybe I am).

V6 FE's available for immediate delivery

You may be right about abandoning the part-match. I had a test drive two weeks ago, told them what spec I wanted, and was offered two pre-built cars close to my ideal spec. I opted for one of them and am picking it up next week. I have never been on the waiting list.

V6 FE's available for immediate delivery

No they are not. There is a choice (some at extra money) of seat material and colour, caliper colour, black pack, privacy glass, home link, tracker, wheels, steering wheel. I've just bought one, so been through all the options.
