Yes, had a other email today confirming pretty much that.

    More Emira Coming Soon

I'll be surprised if it is a direct link. Sure hitting the button in the email takes you into WhatsApp without having to do anything further, but if you examine the button in the email it will probably show the link is to the site I mentioned.

    More Emira Coming Soon

It's not a direct link to WhatsApp, but goes through click.updates. lotuscars.com. I think it might be a tracking link associated with my email address so I'm not about to post the link. However, the WhatsApp group Lotus Cars is in Channels which you can find in the Updates tab, and it is a...

    More Emira Coming Soon

I received an email from Lotus today with the subject as per the title of this post. The content was as follows: "Never change a winning formula. Unless you can top it. The fully revamped Lotus Emira range. Ready to be revealed very soon - so stay tuned. New and enhanced levels of performance...

Poll for Those with Paint Blistering / Bubbling Defect

Well, to give you some more food for thought, mine was about a year old before the blisters showed up, and it sits outside in the elements all of the time. Also, assuming yours is 2yrs 3 months old, it should be covered by the 5 year paint warranty which has been discussed in this forum.

Poll for Those with Paint Blistering / Bubbling Defect

That's weird, as Stratton Motor Company said that Lotus instructed them to replace both doors on mine, despite one (like yours the D/S!) showing no signs of blistering. The blistering on mine was reported while in for service in Sep '24, approved fairly soon afterwards, then there was a wait for...

Poll for Those with Paint Blistering / Bubbling Defect

My July '23 car, is always parked outside in the elements. It has bubbles on the passenger door, just below the handle, and is currently at Stratton Motor Co for warranty repair. I was surprised that they are replacing both doors, which I was told is Lotus policy, despite the driver's door...

    Need some help !

Parts website lists parts by engine type, not chassis. If you scroll right on the site, you'll find the diagram etc for the 2.0L engined car. Looks like the toe link has the same part number on both variants, but check with B&C to be sure.

Then why did you say Toyota chassis? AMG engine is 2 litre.

Toyota engine. Some suspension parts depend on which engine is fitted.

Crikey, I was expecting i4. Manual or auto?

Air con known issue -no fix yet [EDIT: now with official fix]

Not sure what you mean - are you saying that when you get in the car and press the start button, the air con comes on full fan and low temp, irrespective of what it was set to previously?

Poll for Those with Paint Blistering / Bubbling Defect

I agree, certainly once the issue had been identified and the cause established. It would depend on how tightly the manufacturing process and/or quality measures were defined.

Poll for Those with Paint Blistering / Bubbling Defect

Simple answer is that Lotus don't make them they subcontract -:hence difficult to control quality

    Scorpion Tracker

Low battery warning in two days is not down to the Scorpion, unless it is faulty. Mine can sit for two weeks with no warning.

    Seats and Footwell

Yes, that's right, the seats are upholstered at the Hethel factory. I think this is a bit weird, because the likes of JLR buy their seats in from Lear. Perhaps it's not cost effective to do that with the lower volumes that Lotus UK use.

Lowering question for GRP (and any others)

Did you measure with the car empty or loaded (driver and ideally passenger)? That would surely make a difference?

Air con known issue -no fix yet [EDIT: now with official fix]

Interesting. I'm in the UK, July 23 build, car lives outside, had resistor fixed Dec 23, shield fitted Sept 24, no further issues. Done about 4.5K miles, so it's been used! New passenger door on order due to paint blisters. Absolutely love the car though.

    New Emira SE announced

Out of interest, how did the 411hp "show"? Assuming it's on the infotainment system screen, that is a software generated estimate and not a real measurement.
  22. Biggles of Norwich

New software update released - has anyone had it yet?

Good luck. Mine is stuck at the dealers (near factory!) at the moment because Lotus software update system is down.

Emiras waiting for shipping to USA

Doh! I grabbed a picture of the build sheet because it was about the only car which had one showing. I just checked it was legible before posting it, didn't spot it was a V6 auto! There may be lots of V6 autos then. Most of the cars were certainly autos.

Emiras waiting for shipping to USA

Having seen the gearchange on a V6 auto today, it is possible, indeed likely (given that there were V6 manuals), that some of those cars were V6 autos. With their white jackets on, it's not easy to spot the difference between a V6 and an i4.

Emiras waiting for shipping to USA

Sorry I don't have a better picture, I took the shot as proof of the manual gearbox. However, I think the tag says "Copper Free Brake Pads". Perhaps that is a specific requirement for some markets?

Emiras waiting for shipping to USA

I was at the local storage area for export Emiras in Norfolk yesterday. There were about 400 Emiras destined for the USA/Canada. Most seemed to be i4s, but I spotted 6 x V6 manuals, and as I didn't check them all there were probably more. The employee I spoke to said there were another 800 there...

    Securing Frunk

Thanks for all the replies so far, I've revisited the access panel and now see what I missed. There isn't a slotted plate as such, just a slot in the composite panel, which you can't see as it is cut into the underneath of part of the access panel frame . The metal stay does feed into it, but a...
