    FYI, I called Mike over at Lotus of Dallas yesterday. He said they've specced their demo cars and expects to see them in Oct. They're getting both a V6 and an I4! One of them is Hethel Yellow. Donno the color of the other.

    i4 versus V6 sound … from Goodwood ….. OR NOT :(

    To give credit where credit's due, ever since the Evora 400, Lotus has done a stellar job making a Camry V6 sound pretty damn good. Having at least given them the benefit of the doubt on the i4 did make sense. That said, now that we've heard it, it seems like there is more work to be done here...

    I can't speak to the handling characteristics of the Cayman nor the Emira, as I've not driven either, but I wanted to call out that jubbalandcars was comparing it to various Caymans, which is a mid engined car (not rear like a 911). Good video jubbalandcars, thanks for posting.

    I thought the same at first, but those squeaks are likely from other car loader commotion going on close to the camera location. The Eletre and Evija obv don’t have engine sounds to block that stuff out.

    My guess is that the profit margin on the (aging) V6 is better than it is on the (brand new-ish) i4, and the marketing message of "bigger engine - moar power!", is an easy one to tell. Purely speculation on my part though.
