It will be a turbo'd 4-pot whatever they do to it. There's no such thing as a soulful turbo'd 4-pot.
Anyone buying an i4 has surely already accepted that the soundtrack will be... lacking (to be polite).
I'm sure no one is buying it for the noise, though!
Exactly that.
I wasn't really sure what to go for between silver and DC so took silver as the easiest place to start from if I decide to change.
I've had loads of silver/grey cars with silver wheels and never disliked them, so hopefully this will be the same when we finally see Nimbus with...
I don't disagree (other than the costs, because 570s and GT3 depreciation is so insignificant) but of the 3 cars, there's only 2 of them I could have been driving this summer...
Have to say I'm getting really fed up with it all now.
If I'd known the delays would be anything like they are turning out to be, I'd have bitten the bullet and bought something else for the summer.
How can they be so shockingly bad at communicating? I don't just mean the ever-changing...
Pretty inconsiderate.
If you'd just recently finished commissioning your spangly new air-con it might have guaranteed us a moderate summer instead of this...
:ROFLMAO:
Here in the UK (where Bovingdon is) you can't buy a new one at any price, unless you're 'chosen'.
We're not getting a new GT car no matter how long we're prepared to wait, so why bother telling us they're the best car you can buy in that bracket?
I enquired about a 991 GT3 order myself around...
@lotuscars on TikTok is dribbling out a few clips now.
Nice little vid of Nimbus with black back in the rain in a park somewhere, which highlights the difference in colour without sun or artificial lighting.
The shape is amazing in that pic (the car, not you @TomE 🤣)
Just look at the rear quarter and the way the cockpit narrows. It really emphasises the muscularity of its haunches, if that makes sense.
Are they not the silver wheels?
I thought the diamond cut had some black on them?
Edit: looks like it might be the lighting and they are diamond cut as you say.
Interesting as I've also ordered silver...
He probably recorded 2 different versions of his 'review', waited to see everyone else's work, then released the one most inline with the people who know what they're talking about. :ROFLMAO:
Indeed. Flow is king at times like this.
(I could sell them some software to automate the material availability checks and then automatically re-prioritise the schedule, though. 🤔 🤣)
But yes component/raw mats supply is a massive problem globally for all the industries I work with from oil &...
If that's how they think about (and treat) you they're on borrowed time.
It's bizarre that pushing for news and wanting updates is considered "old guard", given that customers of yesteryear will be well used to the idiosyncratic ways of a small, low-volume car company, whereas many of us are...
I assume they're trying to assuage any worries potential customers have around Lotuses being 'basic'?
Admittedly it's an odd point in proceedings to start worrying about that... :ROFLMAO:
I actually thought HC was very positive about many things when I read it.
It was interesting he pointed out that on one hand it's a departure from some previously core Lotus attributes and on the other has similar traits to Lotuses past with regard to turn-in, etc.
Worth getting a free trial...
Completely missing my point.
I like Jethro's reviews because he tells it how it is and really knows his stuff - I ordered my M4 off the back of EVO's less than glowing initial reviews of the F82 because the detail of what was and wasn't great pointed to it being just what I was looking for...
Absolutely.
Jethro has gone down in my estimations with this review. Not because he wasn't glowing with praise for the Lotus but because of how he (or Evo) went about this review.
It was lazy to just go to Angelsey, with an oddly convenient GT4 happening to be there at the same time, and then...
Really interesting to see how people land on their colour choices.
For me, I quite liked Seneca but assumed it would be very popular so thought I'd go for something else.
I wasn't keen on yellow, didn't think I'd like green 'in the flesh' and Shadow looked too dark. I considered red, but then...
personally, I've never been a fan of pimp tints.
No car I've ever spec'd myself has had them.
If, when it's delivered, I decide for some bizarre reason the Emira does need them I'll have to revise my belief that all cars are better without.
I'm another with silver wheels on Nimbus!
Was also considering changing to black but, to be honest, it's very simple to change silver to black if it comes to it.
I have a feeling we'll all be very happy with silver, though.
I would think that Lotus are exempt from having to fit OPFs at the moment due to the small volumes being produced.
Looking at the Euro5/6 regulations (hopefully the document is not too far out of date to be relevant) it says that if the manufacturer's total production volume in the year prior...
Mine:
V6 manual FE

Silver wheels
Red brakes

Of course it will look exactly like this: (I can dream...)
