I test drove an Aston back to back with the Emira in Bristol and believe me there are amazing roads available. The dealers are next door to each other. The lotus route was appalling for me, and Lotus even drove me past the good road, instead taking me onto the motorway!! Doh…

What was your warranty issue they rejected? I found them very amenable re warranty claims… uk though Can’t believe the US pricing that’s silly! I found repairs similar, if perhaps slightly higher than Porsche pricing… of course, uk again…

For someone who I think manages investments your random use of statistics plucked out of the air really worries me 🤣 But… agree with your points though… I’ve got a Macan gts, it’s solid and has convincing performance for a tank, but it’s a bit dull I drove a 911 gts and found it too polished...

I suppose there are a lot of config combinations at play… 6 external colours * 6 interiors * 3 wheels * a few other options… Easily 1000 different configs, with perhaps an order book of double that? so likely not many people with identical specs

I’ve just had a call… they are still hoping to get my car into production in December - so either total rubbish or there’s no full shutdown over the holiday period - but may well slip and be early feb delivery.

Plenty of uk dealers offer you long, unaccompanied, and even 24 hour test drives.

I wish! I’m still teetering, but a longer test drive is really what I need given the other one was beyond a joke…

Let’s be honest the issue getting cars to customers is that lotus seem unable to get their shit together, not that 7 delivered cars have been put up for sale!

I find this pretty fucked up. We’re continually messed around by lotus over an 18 month period, being strung along by one delivery story after another. Our 5k has been invested for most of this time. Then…. We’re not allowed to sell our car… because lotus are control freaks?! Perhaps they...
