    Emira and Quick Jack

Glad the TLXs fit - I was concerned mine would be too long. Do you have to slide the frames as far back as possible to prevent the front of the frame contacting the front tyres as the car is lifted up and back? I have this issue with one of my other cars. And for avoidance of doubt...we're all...

    📓 Journals kitkat's Emira

This scenery looks rather familiar - East Bay? Love that you’re using the car properly, but as someone who keeps his car interiors obsessively clean the idea of getting in after a session on the bike is terrifying…leave alone putting the wheel inside!

What did you do to your Emira today?

These are properly lovely! Any pics of them in the car? Did your dealership special order them or are they available somewhere?

Hi @Nova - curious if any updates on the film? Considering the same on mine. Thanks!

Definitely interested in the boot liner if a better shipping method to the U.S. can be sorted!

GRP Forged Monoblock Wheels Now Available!

BRRacing! Guess this car is local to me. Is there room to go more aggressive on the offset without worrying about rubbing on stock springs?

What a thing. Have many thoughts but simply put it was worth the wait. Ran into a lovely fellow member also picking up his DV at Boardwalk. Didn’t get to put nearly enough miles on the car - but at the very first stop for lunch a couple miles down the road from the dealership, did run into a...

Got the call from Tom - my car's arrived! Won't be picking up for a couple weeks but mine is DV over tan and black calipers. Are others taking the PPF (Lotus Guard) option from Boardwalk?

For New Emira Owners - Complimentary GGLC Membership

Saw you guys at Thunderhill last Friday but didn’t get a chance to say hi (was in my 718). Look forward to meeting some of you once I take delivery hopefully later this month!

    Brakes!

I noticed the sensitivity / overboosted feel on the demo car right away - glad to hear it modulates or one can at least become accustomed to it. The Evora I test drove previously had perhaps my favourite brake pedal of anything I've driven...sad that feel didn't carry over.

Congrats!! Even the delivery driver looks happy behind the wheel :) Similar spec to mine, although I must be the only one who didn't do yellow calipers on DV.

Sure…if they’re already underneath the car somehow, or if they know to look for them :)

    Emira and Quick Jack

It is indeed, and our discussion is because we may disagree on some of your supporting evidence. But reasonable people can disagree, and again - to each his own :) I doubt an average shop would know to use those inboard jacking points regardless. Don’t seem easy to get to on any lift.

Congrats and enjoy! Do you have any idea what financing packages they're offering by chance?

    Emira and Quick Jack

Hmm - I suppose there's an argument to be made about the stability of the QJ base sat underneath the blocks vs. an extended arm, but there are plenty of counter-arguments to be made about robustness of pump, failsafe, free-standing rails on potentially uneven floors vs. bolted-in lift posts...

    Emira and Quick Jack

Each QuickJack frame only has two contact points with the chassis of the vehicle you lift - it’s analogous to a two-post lift. There is a little bit of overhang beyond where the blocks that contact the chassis sit, but I would never rely on that to compensate for an unstable platform.

Kyle told me he cannot get and thus (to his own frustration) cannot give any info on PPF, financing, and warranty. Finance department owns that and presents it "when you're taking delivery of the car" - or can present it live if you go in beforehand, which is not easy for me given distance. I'm...

    Emira and Quick Jack

The 5000 and the 7000 are effectively the same dimensions, and support identical jacking point distances. It’s the TLX vs. the TL that changes the jacking point distance. https://www.quickjack.com/compare/

Hi all! Been lurking for a while, finally signed up as I’ve just received word from my dealership (Boardwalk) my car is either “already in Baltimore” or “on the water”…but oddly, I don’t see it in Nova’s (incredibly helpful) sheets.
