I felt exactly the same and had some similar cars on my list inc 570s, R8, Vantage and AMG GT. In the end I stuck with the Emira as I love the heritage of Lotus, the looks of the Emira and the fun factor of the car as a whole. Despite only having had mine for 2 weeks I’m loving that decision...

I fully disconnected the negative terminal first - I thought that was good practise (maybe not though!). The reason I did that was that I wanted to connect the negative terminal to the actual negative battery terminal. I tried to do that but the bolt that clamps onto the terminal is captive...

Thx for the suggestion. I’m going to leave it alone with the charger disconnected untill tomorrow when my ODB reader arrives. I’ll then try to clear the code… then if that works I can see if turning on the charger throws up the warning light again. I’ll report back tomorrow.

Yes - i love mine. Caymans / 911s / M2s / M3s / Astons don't make me smile as much - the Emira is all fun... just ask Sam (Seen Though Glass) and Harry. I'm loving owning the Emira partly because of the car but also because of the heritage. Ignore the flippers - Some are due to genuine changes...

I spoke to Lotus and they are now investigating as they themselves advise that people fit a trickle charger / battery conditioner if you leave you can un-driven for any period of time…. I’ve also purchased an ODB reader to see if I can clear the code myself.

I responded last week but haven’t heard back - possibly due to Christmas or maybe they’ve already got another car.

Does anyone know if the Emira 3rd cat part number is the same as any previous cars? IE would one of the bypass pipe from an Evora fit an Emira?

Left them for now. The car is having front end PPF installed in 10 days time. They have a guy who should be able to do a very small “smart repair”… then once the film is over that you shouldn’t be able to see anything… at least that’s my plan! I had thought about putting very small black...

Mine had 25 miles on the clock when I picked it up… not sure why so many. They must have had some gremlins to fix or similar but all seams ok now and I’m 300 miles in… Those initial miles weren’t done by the dealer either as I can see from the tracker that it only did 0.2 miles with them!
