You're getting an almost negligible improvement in performance at the cost of significantly decreased filtering and increased engine wear/damage. It seems a no brainer to avoid IMHO. There's a reason manufacturers have resoundingly stuck with paper filters.

The popping has been well reported before. Might be something to do with the sub getting power on/off. Possibly one of the software updates 'fixes' it.

I bet it's just the previous software updates. It's a sealed unit provided from Mercedes. I doubt Lotus will have performed any redesign or hardware changes to the gearbox. But maybe they could have changed the control board and paddles.

Loving the look of the new Facelift SE V2 Emira. In the UK I'm told they will be £96,500 before options (for V6 manual), and expect them to be easily over £100K with a few options. The pinstripe design is £3K alone, and the previous First Edition kit is another £10K, but you don't need all of it.

Wow that's some mileage discrepancy. The silver lining is that hopefully most of the warranty issues have surfaced and been fixed over that sort of milage. Do you know if previous paint issues have been fixed? Or if it's seemingly never had any?
