US Cars - Is Blind Spot and Lane Depart enabled for our cars?

I wouldn't mind blind spot monitoring to be honest. I don't use it much in my F150 but visibilty isn't great in these cars and it would be helpful.

New cars include prewired charger plug

No clue. I have it set to fold in the mirrors when I lock in the door and a few weeks ago, I noticed only the drivers' side mirror was folding in. If you touch the passenger side mirror, it feels loose as if it isn't properly secured. No scratches or impact to mirror that I'm aware of.

New cars include prewired charger plug

My car didn't come with the charger. I've been using a NOCO trickle charger. I need to take my car to the dealer for a broken sideview mirror, might bring that up to them.

I'll never forgive Lotus for not creating an access panel in the pan for oil changes and making us remove that entire thing.

I deceided to wait before making this post to follow up my original post: https://www.emiraforum.com/threads/usa-canada-delivery-thread.2183/post-143908 Long story short here, I didn't have a great dealership experience and was a bit upset because my car was very clearly sitting for a while...

Thanks and I will. I did receive a call later in the day yesterday that the financing is done and I could pick up the car today. I was told I would receive the final write up of the figures so I could go to the bank before work this morning but of course nothing. But like @EspiritGuy said, I...

I know. Makes me worried how the car was treated since it arrived here three months ago but I'm going to look over that car with a fine tooth comb when I take delivery. I gave up, called the dealership this afternoon and received a call back that the PPF crew has a backlog of many weeks so I'm...

I don't know but I can assure you, there were leaves in the engine bay and inside the cabin. Car is a damn mess. Looks like service is handled by the Volvo dealership next door so I'll give them a try. But the sales team really killed the joy of the experience.

I was able to see my car this weekend after a long wait, and I should have my car this week, but it wasn't a pleasant experience and I'm at a point now where I wish I had cancelled the order despite the sentimental value of this car for me. Now I know my car came in on the April 6 boat but I...

Tomorrow will mark two months since my car arrived stateside, but still no call from the dealership. A little over two weeks ago I noticed my VIN was appearing on the website so I checked in with the dealership to see if I should prepare my financing and insurance, and they told me the online...

Perhaps I'm odd but the only time I've communicated with the dealership since placing my reservation is when they reached out to me to schedule the test drive, to place the order, and most recently a few weeks ago to let me know I received a VIN and the car was on a ship coming stateside. Just adding to the thread here. I reserved in October 2022, order placed September 2023, and my VIN is on the 4/7 ship. I ordered at the dealer in Summit, NJ and requested a quote for PPF to be done before pickup. Thanks for all the info everyone procided on this thread. Looking forward to...

My order is placed. He's telling me he doesn't know how many allocations they will get because they simply trickle in and he goes down the dealership's list of reservation holders in their order. He said this month he got three V6s and I was one of the ones who took it. Sometimes it's 2...

Correct as to the top part. I recall the salesman saying Summit received 35 1.0 allocations. I have a call at 10am to finalize my order and can ask how many 2.0s they received if anyone is interested.

I lived in Rockland County until I was married 8 years ago and even down here the roads are salted enough to chew through a car in less than 10 years. In fairness, I'm also not very good at cleaning cars. That said though, my Emira will get daily driven. Just not during the road salting months.

Just a counterpoint here, but there really isn't much to update at this point. The great big "all the customer test drives" thread

I didn't have this same reaction and I wonder if it has to do with the fact that I drove a Sport chassis car. If that is the difference, I think I might be changing my mind from Tour to Sport because I thought turn in was sharp, but not twitchy on the Sport chassis car I drove. I really do wish...

The great big "all the customer test drives" thread

I'm certainly no expert. I've driven an Exige S 240 that a buddy of mine owns and I've sat in an Evora when the local Saab dealer merged with a Lotus dealer and I was waiting for my old 9-3 to get repaired. Never got to drive the Evora though. I've driven a few 911s and an original Boxster, but...
