Rarity is cool don't get me wrong. I was really wanting to get the C8 until I saw it. I also wanted a GT4. But the Emira checked my box. If it was mass produced I would still buy it. But I always notice sports cars like I presume most of us do on this forum. A Lotus is still a rare site...
Those who have chosen black or silver calipers to match the spec have some really great combinations. You car is a great spec. Would love to see this in person.
The shifter has always been one of the part of the car gets thumbs up and thumbs down more than other features. The OP just came in and dropped his opinion and left you are a popular forum member and not a Bot!
This is the first thing that stood out to me too. The shifter usually gets a lot of complaints. I don't have my car yet so I really can't say but it looks like the AI bot enjoys the rifle bolt. Lol
This is like whiplash but I am glad to hear it. And certainly more sub 3000lbs should be coming because they would be more eco than larger sports cars.
Is this actually confirmed? Are people whose cars showed up first in Baltimore still waiting to be delivered because they were positioned at the back of a warehouse/storage area and they most recent cars are being delivered first?
Did anyone have a car already in the Baltimore port before the bridge collapse that has subsequently had the car delivered afterwords? I guess I am asking about how much disruption there is to getting cars (that were already unloaded and sitting in the port) out of the port after the collapse...
I don't know how bad the pollen gets in NC. My comment was based on what we experience in Georgia and right now the stuff is everywhere. We have about a two week period of bad pollen.
This is my situation too I believe based on me researching my VIN. I am just being patient. After almost 3 years I can wait another 3 months, no problem.
Ceramic Pro? No experience with that. Here is an XPEL reference. AP3 Paint Protection in Alpharetta. Based on what I have seen on the forum they are on the expensive side. I have used them for multiple vehicles. I don't have any prices from any other shop and I won't take my car to any...
Calling @Porter when you get a moment please post your thoughts on the KEF so we can add yet another perspective to the only remaining concern I have about the Emira. :)
The Evora GT is about the most go-kart I have experienced in any car. But that also had to do with the feel of the whole car. The Emira wasn't quite as heavy but close IMO. I will let others with more experience chime in.
Sadly I am disappointed. You must really be busted up inside. For years you have been filling this forum with poetic jokes, poetic levity, poetic jabs, and poetic satire and the day you get your Emira, nada!!! Come on baby!
Totally agree on all your points. And I am glad this was posted to treat the supercharger the same way as a turbo.
IMO, no real proof, people have issues with high performance engines that don't continuously push them. After break in, you need to be at redline. Letting the car idle allowing...
Such a horrific story. I am still in the break in period for my Dark Horse which is running Trofeo RS tires. I went out last week and in the morning (55 degrees & damp road) turned to get on the interstate and the front wheels tramlined and the back end slid out 1 foot at 20 MPH. But I know...
I drive with my windows down always. Even in winter I put them down about 1/3 of the way and crank the heat. For some reason open windows provide a great sensation for me. I am about 45 minutes away from the mountains via interstate so yea, I will ride at 80MPH with the windows all the way...
I got this same gift. No car yet. Last I heard 3 weeks ago was car is in Baltimore. VIN lookup showed it arriving in December. No word from the dealer yet. Just waiting patiently trying to find a cover so it can come home instead of into storage when I finally do get it.
There are a lot of numbers flying around that just seem as though people might be trying to make a buck off of loyal, hard working car enthusiasts. We need to keep watching each others' back. It's tough when so much emotion is involved after 2+ years.
These are my Klassen ID forged wheels. Rears are 19.5lbs, Fronts are 17.5lbs. Total set was 9K. No way the Lotus stock wheels are that much. Those numbers he gave seem way off.
Can someone who is receiving a car create a "USA / Canada Taking Delivery Thread" or something like that.
Just a suggestion. Love this thread but would love to exclusively track all those getting their new cars and the pics.
