This year it‘s 17 years now with my Opel Speedster Turbo, which is also known as Type 116. This car told me what lightness can mean and the advantages it has. Still a visceral experience everytime I get behind the wheel.

About 26 cars (Oct.-Dec.) have already been registered 2022 in Germany so far. But I don‘t know how many are run by dealers as demonstrators and how many are in private hands.

Problem is these light cars do not sell. :( There are only very few who really appreciate this kind of lightness feel. It's for the connaiseurs not for the masses. But I think Emira still transports this light agile feeling as the front weighs less than 600kg. So still for the connaiseurs, but...

The Supersprint solution uses headers without cats. Therefore you need to have Lambda sensors further downstream behind the new main cat so no CEL will occur. Extension cables are needed then for the lambda sensors. That's the same solution Komo-Tec uses for complete exhaust system on the Evora.

The Exige had been tested on rather old semi-slicks which had the best of life already behind iirc. Otherwise it had been faster for sure.

I made an astonishing weight distribution comparison, based on the data from the current Autobild Sportscars magazine (also available on readily). It seems as if Emira has more in common with the current 992 GT3 as we might think. At least weight distribution and overall weight are very similar...

Autobild Sports cars weighed the Emira with 1482kg. Seems to be the real weight is rather 1480’ish with a full tank of fuel. And 411hp @6750rpm. 4,6s 0-100kph but 17s 0-200kph which is a bit disappointing. Fast shifting also seems to be an issue on the hunt for fastet lap times. 1:37,33 @...

Another video, no GPS based measurements, but still a good hint where the figures will be around: 0-100kph at 4,9s and 0-200kph 16,4s.

It came to my mind he wanted to show off Hethel‘s pride to the „competitors“, why would he drive to Pagani and Ferrari. He could have gone everywhere else to enjoy his new Emira on an Euro-Trip. He seems to be proud of this last ICE no excuses Lotus. That’s at least my take.
