i was driving on Boston 495 yesterday morning heading home to VA. I saw a car carrier going the other way loaded with Emiras, I think. All the cars were the same shape and they all were wearing white suits. Hope yours was on that truck.

I'm 1904, on the 4/7 ship. On the other hand another Lotus of DC car (1902) was on the 3/9 ship. The order of shipping is a bit random but the good news is our cars are coming :)

FWIW, my dealer called today and confirmed that my Emira is on the Atlantic Sun, due into Newark on April 7th. He said to expect delivery the first or second week of May, so that's 4-5 weeks after unloading for those that have been asking. My dealer is Lotus of DC in Rockville, MD, a CARB state.

It is perplexing that no Emiras have been loaded and delivered since the CARB approval date of 2/29. The last Emiras to arrive were loaded on the Atlantic Sail on 2/26, and unloaded on 3/9. So this Saturday will make three weeks since any Emira deliveries. I expected the floodgates to open...

Where/how are you getting your information?

FWIW my 2009 911 had an intermittent no start problem. I traced it to the clutch interlock switch. I bypassed the switch with a jumper and now (years later) it always starts. The Emira issue may be different, but if we can bypass the clutch switch it will eliminate one variable.

I just called Lotus of DC and got my VIN. It is produced, but it's not on the list of 9. The sales rep said it should be here late March/early April.

My son has an orange Elise and even that has been mistaken for a Ferrari (maybe the taillights?). On the other hand, my 911 has NEVER been mistaken for a Ferrari (ha).

I'm hoping to change the belts as a DIY. Has anyone done it (on any car)? What issues did you encounter? I'm hoping the Emira trim panels won't be too difficult to remove to get to the seat belt bolts.

Ditto for me. I’ll add that Lotus SLC did have V6 manual allocations available when I visited a couple weeks ago. So that might be an option - get the spec you want with a manual.

We only need to remember the gen 2 NSX to see that Lotus is not alone in missed deadlines and promises. Honda is a major car company, but it took 5 years from their announcement to finally selling the car. For a while there lots of negative press stories and frustrated customers. Eventually...

For those of us that live in front plate states, has anyone seen Lotus’s solution? A missing front plate is not a moving violation in Virginia. I see lots of Teslas without them.

Wait until we see AB! I think we’ll be very glad we got an unusual and beautiful color. I was in SLC last week and I visited the dealer there. He had just received new paint sample disks. Atlantis Blue has a lot of depth. It will enhance the lines of our Emira.
