There's plenty in the Geely parts bin they can draw on. The wiring ducts must already be there for LHD so can't be that. In the end these and other puzzling choices all add to the mystic that is the Emira.

ok, I might just be capable of a sensible comment I've had my Emira for almost 4 weeks, done over 1k miles and never found a lack of mirror an issue. But does seem an odd omission given the marginal cost involved.

Strange comment about the gear change, in mine the gear shift is really nice, rifle like and I'm coming from an Mx5/Miata ND. The shift is a big part of the experience and certainly not a weak point. May be it varies between cars?

Printed in PLA+, I wouldn’t use straight PLA as it’ll deform as car gets hot in the sun. ABS would be better. Wrapped in genuine Alcantara which is surprisingly expensive even for a small cut. I used double sided carpet tape which works well enough. Fits my iPhone 14 with a slim case...

3D printed Alcantara wrapped tray for iPhone 14. , Just installed it, fit is perfect. Will post pics later when there’s daylight. Designed my own in the end - I wanted a lip at the front and some side support for when I’m pulling some Gs in the corners :D

Thanks for the pic. Would you have bought the cover knowing how difficult it is to use? Bit nervous about your PPF comment, are you saying this because you could catch a PPF edge and pull it up as you fit the cover?

btw. Wing mirrors in when parking is a setting that can be changed in the settings menu.

does it help to have the mirrors folded in? Seems pointless to pay £500 for the official cover if the fitting is not that great.

Washed my Emira yesterday and this morning it’s covered in sandpaper like fine dust, likely it’s pollen. I have PPF front and ceramic all over. But not having a garage I really need to get an outdoor cover. Has anyone actually got an outdoor cover? The only picture I’ve seen of the official one...

That's the zero displacement model, they're usually heavily discounted.

I have it in mine, like a scraping noise more obvious when warmed up. As you say, at lower rpm and in lower gears. Not the best sound but either it's less now I've put almost 1k miles in, or I'm zoning it out in my mind. It was originally very annoying.

A Vauxhall Astra buzzed passed me and tried to get me to race today 🤣. May be if I was 25 I'd unleash all 400 horses, but I just laughed at him.

its just the clarity slider in Lightroom with a shot of vibrance or similar effect in other products. Personally I think the effect is over used in a lot of photography these days.

I did a track pack PPF, including A-pillar but figured being black the roof would be easy enough to repaint in the future if it got really chipped and scratched. Bit naughty posting NG in a DV thread, but forgivable since it looks great :D

This looks like an HDR effect applied to the photo - it exaggerates local contrast so shiny surfaces look a lot more shiny, skies look more dramatic etc.Some phones probably do it automatically these days with AI based enhancement. Or maybe its just a very very shiny car :)

now that I have it, I quite like the BP on DV, as you say, it adds a layer of mystery. In the sun the distinction is obvious, in the shade its subtle. Sometimes the black provides a reference point and helps the green to be more apparent.

I didn’t spec it like this - I agree, almost no point having the BP on DV. Lotus made a mistake and applied the black pack. I realised when I saw it on the invoice!. But I agreed with LCC not to pay for the BP and they had the dealer change the lettering back to silver. Tips are on order and...
