    KEF now a £1000 option!

The JBL system in my Ferrari F12 sounds so much worse than the KEF in the Emira, I guess it really comes down to what you're comparing it to...

    Emira with NO issues?

I haven't had any issues that would have stopped me from driving the car (so far). I actually did a trip through Italy and back without problems, I think my car has around 5000-6000 kms on the clock. It gets washed all the time...

Do you notice a ticking noise during acceleration?

I have the same noise as K_Squared. The Lotus Luxembourg engineer thinks it's an engine noise that gets transmitted to the cabin via the cables of the gearbox. He told me not to worry, unless it gets worse, as trying to find the source might prove to be nearly impossible. I'll see if it...

Lotus Emira Key Fob cases - initial run

I would take 2 in black leather with very light grey (nearly white) stitching to match my interior.

Supercar you would take instead of the Emira

I wouldn't want anything instead, as it completes my modern/ modern classics car collection, but I would like to add older cars from the 20s or 30s (something french), 50s (another american car) and 80s (something italian) in the years to come.

Jason Cammisa & Derek Tam-Scott on Emira & Eletre

Since I'm currently driving my Emira quite a lot, I have to say that the steering feel unfortunately doesn't come close to my Opel GT Roadster's tactility and texture. Mind you, it's still better than any modern car I've driven thus far. A reality that becomes especially apparent, when I hop...

Poll for Those with Paint Blistering / Bubbling Defect

It seems like someone from the future has taken part in our poll. I don't think anbody with a "later than" 10/23 production date has received a car as of now.🤣

Komo-Tec power phase released for V6 Emira

Hmmm... I would at least wait until the warranty has expired. I've tuned my GT Roadster (over the 9 years I've now owned it) from 265hp to 320hp and then to 380hp. I finally went back to 320hp, as it was the sweet spot for "usable on the road power". I think at least the 435hp tune won't make...

Two New Faults Today - Reversing Camera and Parking Brake

The parking camera problem is something I sometimes get with my Camaro when I engage it straight away upon getting in the car. It usually comes back into working condition within 24 hours. No idea if the Emira's might come back to life either.

    Bad quality of 2.0 Emira

Seems like new Porsches aren't without problems either. 2 GT3s, both with severe problems that prevent the cars from driving.

    Gravelly engine noise at 1500rpm?

Given the way the engine revs in neutral, the car could very well have a light single mass flywheel. My GT has one, it chatters a lot. I learned to live with it... will see how my Emira sounds once it's back from PPF installation.

📓 Journals Emmie has finally arrived (Magma red V6 first edition)

On tuesday the 29th of August, I got a call from my insurance company regarding my Emira. A few moments later, I also noticed that a Scorpion tracker account creation email had appeared in my inbox. A short call with my Lotus dealer then confirmed my suspicion: After about 5 days of pdi, my...

Will the Emira fulfill my nimble-car dreams?

Small, nimble and communicative cars don't need big horsepower numbers. My Emira is currently at PDI so I can't compare it to my Camaro and my roadster just yet, but my GT is so fast on pass roads that it's hard to beat regarding thrills. I bet the Emira will shine when it comes to smiles per...

I'm still debating if it will actually be less expensive once import taxes and transport are applied. So to keep it short, if the price is good enough, I'll be in as well.

Stone chips on black trim around the rear wheels?

I wouldn't like to see the stone chips in the PPF. I'm the kind of person who cleans his car with quick detailer after every drive and at least once per week for some hours with a two bucket hand wash. 2 years is actually a conservative estimate since critical areas such as the front bumper...

Stone chips on black trim around the rear wheels?

I think there's some pre installed PPF on the rear arches below the side air intakes.

Stone chips on black trim around the rear wheels?

I was originally going for full PPF but my 15 year old GT Roadster has but minor stone chips that I easily repaired with touch-up paint. Next summer I will have the second bumper respray (the first one was after 7 years) and it will cost me 600 euros. I have driven said car for 83.000 km, I've...

Stone chips on black trim around the rear wheels?

I'm with you on the vinyl'ish look and I also couldn't live with all the stone chips in the protection film being visible until you change the PPF. It would be financially ruinous and I do not plan on ever selling the car anyway + I'm very careful with my cars. I will however get underbody...

Stone chips on black trim around the rear wheels?

My Emira should arrive within the next few weeks and I was wondering if (over time) stone chips might occur on the gloss black trim pieces that let you see the rear tires. I have generally decided to go the non-PPF route, but that area could possibly be the one exception if other users might...

Anyone got an Emira with zero issues?!

Was also thinking about posting this, generally speaking, all exotic sportscars are unreliable. Ferraris tend to have horrible paint that can get blasted away by small gravel particles on track or pealed off with PPF. Porsches suffer from bore scoring and bad seals, McLarens have all sorts of...

    Rev Hang in Manual Transmission

I also feel that it only impacts the drive because the flywheel rushes through the rpms, so it feels off if it spins down at a slower rate. That being said, my GT's racing flywheel drops revs so quickly that a short shifter has become a necessity in order to complete smooth upshifts. I...

    Emira performance - disappointing?

I'm happy it hasn't got more power. A few years back I put a bigger turbo on my Opel GT Roadster and it made it worse because it got too fast too quickly (legally speaking). I actually went back down to 320hp (from 380hp) as it makes the car more enjoyable (can get to the 7600 redline more...

Hi Team, look what I can buy for $63K! thoughts?

I think the new M2 mainly struggles because it's got really big shoes to fill. The last gen M2 was one of the best looking BMWs ever and was awesome to drive, it felt like a proper E30/E46/E92 successor and just had the M factor. People who've never driven an older M won't care if it's heavier...

Hi Team, look what I can buy for $63K! thoughts?

I've seen it at the Essen Motorshow and found it to be unbelievably ugly and horrible value for money, I also think that my new Camaro SS is better in every possible way and that comparing a 1700kg 2+2 with a mid-engined 1400kg sportscar makes no sense whatsoever... BUT!!! I do think that...
